I almost think it's going to take a beyond major event like one of the PIIGS susceding from EZ due to sovereign debt, or a major bank fail for risk to truly come off. I mean really 9 years for the big boys to get their act together? We all wish we'd get 1 year.

when i closed my shorts earlier with an exceptional loss, i told my wife that i am 2 steps from a financial crisis... i don't seem to be the only one... that's lights a candle for me...

it should slip below some then bounce above.. then go lower.. use the gartleys and math as indis. its not a sure thing. but math and the dpp are lower.. gartlely says at least 2917 and math says 2930 + slippage.. im looking for a new short in the bounce above 2961 as described.

crank down your lot size and
only take the easiest trades
set oco stops to lock in your loss and proffit

let the trade come to you

Feel you man...i lost heavy in this up move...hope u have some short running i juz took back a small piece of my loss...i say chin up everyone...and go back it even stronger...but unlike me who broke my 3% SL to 40% rule...i had to pay.

to me it looks, as if it prefers to bounce off of dpp instead of 38.2 retracement.
to play it safe i reverse the order of entries this time, starting from top to bottom number.

no, neither lot size, nor the difficulty of the trades are the problems. the loss isn't even .5% of the account value. i hate loosing when i have a general idea how things should go, that's all.

nope, didn't have the guts to open a new short yet. as things stand, we might slip lower, waiting for a small bounce to get in.

the thing is, for the second time i didn't have the patience to let the storm pass me... first time was @1.215 in may

I took short from 1.2915 some off the table at 1.2859 waitin above 1.2878 to sell with tight sl ...if 1.2845 broken without retrace than buyin around 2820 tp above 2930

honestly, to move the market only by a single pip you need millions, if i remember correctly.

Can anybody recommend a news feed service that would have caught the QE speculation by Goldman et al from earlier today? I'm guessing that the boys who caught this move off of news got it off the bloomberg terminal. At 1500 a month....

I was short on technicals being at the top of the trading range on the daily chart, and short on fundamentals after the better than expected retail numbers. Have experience with equities/futures markets but still getting used to this fx game. thanks.
