The daily and 4 hour charts look ready for a correction to the upside, I'll wait until that happens before entering short.

be it a short or a long at the current level is really risky.

here is my plan. I will be looking to buy at the touch of the lower channel which is around 82.39-44.

Looking back the last 10 years, this is only the second time, usd.jpy has hit this low.
