I don't know what caused that spike, but I've SOLD at the top resistance, with a tight s/l and I'll see how far it retraces.

As 3 hrs 50 min into trading, there have been less than 500 trades on globex 6E and 100+ points movement.... very odd.

VERY thin volume on that move.

Just some food for thought, gold and other commodities saw a drop off last week which means money is coming out of those lower risk (comparatively) products which may signal a move to riskier products...(ie eur/usd)

btw: usdchf has just crossed 15min-tl, so that wasn't all to be seen.

Looking at fibo's on the 1hour..look like its ready for a down move. gbpusd looking the same way...
Not saying its a strong down move but looks like a down move is coming

Make of this what you will of course, but it looks like typical shady Sunday afternoon dark room policy as usual. My tech says the upside and these fundamentals seem to confirm that if any sence of fundamentals can really be made. I am a tech trader but cant ignore the signifigance of these events. Most likely another card up "their" sleeve to be played out in the London open. Along...
Look for a sell from 1.2808 maybe.

Hey guys I'm back to throw in some of my thoughts.

First I think the move in EUR/USD unsustainable for the moment. I have the odd feeling it's somehow related to the JPY intervention story and the power struggle in Japan Tuesday. I'm not sure how or why but anyway. Speaking of the weekly outlook I think we are in for a VERY serious spike in volatility. Usually, this means downside, however there's no clear indication as of yet. I would define R1 at current levels, R2 @ 2841 and R3 2880. Bias: Neutral, slightly lower.

Equities: US stocks are mixed technically with longer term bias heavily south.
DJ facing serious resistance at current levels and @ 10557. Interesting is the very weak performance of the aussie stocks today, which might hint that the high AUD is undesired and unsustainable. Short AUD/USD long term trade is suggested. Oil has major resistance in the entire area 78-79. Levels of particular interest are 78.30 and 78.80 which might provide shorting opportunities. Long term outlook for oil is VERY NEGATIVE.

I have to add that this and next week will be decisive for the longer term outlook. Good luck all.

I believe it is fake move. It is just monday, market is opened for 4 hours and move more than 90 pips!!
(I am losing about 60 pips, but I cancelled and changed sl because I believe it is just fake, however, i may be mistaken)
