Just wanted to say bye to everyone.

I don't have time to participate in discussions lately.

Bye Robert, thank you for your contribution to this forum.
I have found your postings very informative, and I will probably read most of it again.

I hope this need to focus is not a result of a few bad weeks.
Cheers and good trading.

Aw shucks; but trade with some MMs and you need huge SLs, but that does seem a bit excessive.

No you don't need a big SL. You just need to position size

Well, so interesting....got attracted by the thread/journals topic, but was not surprised at all by the end result...100% monthly and consistently too...yea, its possible, wont argue that..but without a stop loss, and really bad and unprofessional MM. What do most traders think this business is...GAMBLING?

Its high time traders get some quality education and proper mindset of this business and stop messing themselves up[anyway, if they dont, how would traders like me get paid..lol].

Nice try..dont give up yet, but please, LEARN from your loss [no, its not a failure, just a loss].. I like your courage though...

I don't partake in pissing contests here. Measuring how big of a stop loss one should have should not be decided by how big of a spike one has seen, perhaps thats how you do it. That's fine by me... But there are so many ways to skin a cat. And one of them includes using a tight SL. I for instance commonly use 20-30 pip stop losses.

Robert is a good trader, there are many gems in this thread. Think over leveraging and averaging down may have gotten him into trouble but not sure. I do know this about him, he is not a quitter and has the courage it takes to succeed at trading. He will be back and my money says he outlasts and outperforms most of the posters in this thread. Hang in there Robert.

I'm sure if he takes some wisdom, and studies his mistakes. He could succeed.
But HISTORY currently shows otherwise, from what I've heard this isn't the only account he has blown but rather his third or fourth blown account.

My humble opinion is no pain, no gain. Even slow learners will change and progress given enough pain. The key is not giving up and to keep trying. Would back the courageous persevering trader that's blown multiple live accounts before the successful demo trader or the trader that hasn't risked enough money to experience and grow from the painful emotions generated by losing and winning. Believe successful traders have to learn how to absorb and deal with the pain that comes from both losing and winning. Provided of course that they are not just gambling addicts or have deep seated, subconcious, self destructive emotional issues.

Apologies for the absence, my main ISP connection went down since Sunday night. Trading on a wireless dongle is interesting.

After my post I examined the image you put up. Seems like two major losses wiped him out. Otherwise I agree with your summation. The use of a SL depends upon a number of things, and one important one is which broker you are using - imho. Personally I am getting back into the habit of using them and agree that they are a must-have if you are using significant leverage.

The most huge spike I ever saw was on a demo account, yes really, 1000 pips or thereabouts. When I questioned the (Currenex linked) broker about it I got some lame excuse about a wrong price being typed-in. So that was the end of that short relationship.

If you're just tuning in...

100% a month, every month, is not possible.
100% a year, every year, is not possible. This one is going to hurt.
10% a year, every year, is not possible.

If you disagree with any of the above, please just keep trading. Eventually you'll see the light.

At the end of the day you simply can not escape the fact that risk taken and the probability of account ruin are BFF's, and they will walk hand in hand right through your hard earned money.

Hope springs eternal, returns do not.

Absolutely. But I think it is preferable that people do it with their own money until they get it right, rather than playing with other people's money.

Another "investor beware" story. What you need to do when anyone is offering to manage/trade your money and claiming these kinds of returns is to step away and run as fast as you can.

Good luck Rob.

FX,

You sound very bitter. Is that due to personal experience of forex trading.

I think a lot of guys on here would disagree with you about the 100% a year being impossible tho.

I wasn't going to post anymore but I think I need to set things straight and very clear.

I WAS TRADING FOR MYSELF ONLY INITIALLY AND POSTING MY RESULTS FOR MY OWN ANALYSIS. PEOPLE APPROACHED ME THEMSELVES AND OFFERED ME MONEY TO TRADE FOR THEM WITHOUT ME SOLICITING A CENT FROM ANYONE. EVEN SINCE IT HAPPENED ORIGINALLY I HAVE NEVER SOLICITED ANYONE/NEVER OFFERED ANYTHING/NEVER CLAIMED ANYTHING AND IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE IT PLEASE FIND SOMEONE WHO WILL PROVE ME OTHERWISE. I PUT UP A WEBSITE BECAUSE I WAS TIRED OF ANSWERING THE SAME QUESTIONS OVER AND OVER AND IF YOU LOOK AT IT, IT IS FULL OF WARNINGS AND DISCLOSURES RIGHT IN YOUR FACE AND THERE IS A REASON FOR IT: THIS IS A RISKY BUSINESS AND I DON'T WANT TO TRADE FOR ANYONE WHO CANNOT ACCEPT THAT RISK. I AM STILL TRADING OPM AND WILL BE TRADING IF PEOPLE ASK ME WILLINGLY SO PLEASE EXPLAIN IT TO MY WHY YOU AND OTHERS LIKE YOU WHO ARE FIGHTING NFA AND OTHER FROM REGULATING THIS BUSINESS, WHY ARE YOU TRYING TO REGULATE WHAT OTHER ARE DOING WITH THEIR MONEY?

Anyway, you don't need to answer since I really don't care about your rants I make enough trading my own funds that whatever you say, really just bounces right off and I'll still keep trading my funds and those that want me to trade for them and there will be many more investors since results speak for themselves much louder then anything you can say(nobody has a perfect record and yes I will most likely loose some money in the future again, but again if people follow my suggestions and diversify among my accounts they will be fine)

That account lately that blown and you guys had such a fuss about it had a higher risk profile and it didn't work out. However, I have not heard even one complaint from those clients on that account and I trade for some of them as well on the second more conservative account. And guess what, I still get new clients from referrals. I am blessed to be working with people that understand the risks they take and don't go blaming the entire world for their decisions or go on missions like some of the clowns on myxfbook to save everybody from themselves - have you guys thought of joining Obama's administration, I hear they have some vacancies and seem to be on the same mission.

If you trade forex you are going for higher gains and that carriers risks with it
anyone looking for a safe way to trade forex is fooling themselves. If you want safety go and buy some government bonds but that is only safe in nominal terms and not actual value. If you're somewhat smart and still want safety go and get some gold and silver, at least when you pass it to your kids it will still have the value. But if you're going to trade forex or ask someone to trade it for you understand the risks and take responsibility for your own decisions and never give your money to anyone soliciting/asking for it.

Edit: For those accusing me accusing of scamming or other purposeful wrong doing since you seem to be so good with screen shots, please provide a proof that I at any time solicited, offered, offered or claimed anything about my trading without proper disclosures.

Robert

I never said its going to be a short journey but you're going to get your money on your bet in due time, that I promise you.
(this is a claim on my persistence and not any results or solicitation)

One reason why I can't waste my energy on those clowns on this and other forums. I had to set some facts straight but I'm back to ignoring them.

Much Success to you

Robert
