DislikedI am not active at FF anymore due to the type of arguing that is going on here in this thread. A friend asked if I had visited here anytime recently. I believe if you have something negative to say, and believe you really have a reason to bother those here that are trying to work, then come in and say it in one post and move on. Otherwise let these folks, that are either trying to figure out fibs or already trading profitably, alone so they can focus. Last time something like that happened to me First It was nok then I was eating mystery take out from the back of my fridge haha I went on a mxn/rub bender ... It is pretty foggy but when I came to later in the week.... I was dressed like a mariachi and I had a lot of coresspondance( and I apparently still missspell like a snakes sheesh haha thought that was gone.. Haha) from my friends to someone named "comrade Martinez " on my phone.
Point is one day you are trading the nok next day you are hoping the bees attracted by your swimming pool full of cotton candy will scare the herd of feral squirrels out of your garage so you can hide the weinermobile you just found out you own.
See you tomorrow for tennis and full contact dance dance revolution we will talk about your problem hahaha you need to go cold eur/usd , start going to MA meetings .. If it is too far gone they will use bollinger bands and give you some ATR shots for the shakes!

I have been studying this post and I'd like to ask you a simple PA question. I'd like to know if the BEOB off the 77.33 PPZ influenced your trade decision short here at all? In other words, were you already in the trade before the BEOB formed or did you sell sometime during its formation or afterward. The 75.95 level was an obvious target for exit in my view because it was another stop in the road on the way down to the 74.69 area. On the chart I have posted, I have shown the three most ovious PPZ's (a little James16 lingo there). I have an idea that I am trying to develop and knowing where you were in your thinking here would help me in discounting or expanding upon a thesis. Thank you. Best to you and yours.

There are people here with 8-10V who can not trade. At least not successfully. I have seen them claim so much. But these high vouchers are the ones who bestow vouchers upon others? LOL!
You tell me 2 people held in higher esteem at "the old Factory" (as Adam likes to call it) than Merlin or James16. These are the guys who put this place on the map. Go ask these guys what they think of Dial.
I know Dial. Actually met him through this place. We are now part of a trading group doing stuff that would knock your socks off. A group that MAY have been mentioned somewhere in this thread sometime back in history
.We have traveled across the country to meet each other and other highly motivated traders. We have dined together. We have been in mentoring groups together. We have helped oversee a trading site together. We chat constantly. We have each others phone numbers, email addresses, skype addresses. We share charts and trading ideas. He claims I have taught him a few things. He has taught me much. He is extremely intelligent and is more anal about details than I am.
Why do I say all this?
One reason. Vouches-smouches. The only way to REALLY know someone and their character is to KNOW them...one on one. I don't need any psuedo intellectuals or 10V people to vouch for Dial or any of the other 2 dozen or so traders I interact with on a daily/weekly basis.
Soooo....I guess I agree with you. Vouches are worthless. Hope everyone else here knows that by now. And I certainly agree with your contention that "arguments from authority" are crap. Heck.....look at old Adam. 10V and something to say about everything!......many might fall for that authoritarian posture!! Your point is well taken. Just FWIW.....in the case of Dial....there is more substance than just his "vouch status" at "the old factory". He has my PERSONAL reco as well as that of about 25 other folks I know (if you bothered to ask them).

If you want to follow fibs, follow fibs, but when you read one of Skunny's firsts posts in this thread when he say's it's possible to trade perfectly, please read that comment in light of PiprPro's post. Yes, the fib guys probably are profitable trading based only on fibs, but it's a 70% win rate and a 1.5 R:R...
Did you also catch the part in Pipr's post where he suggested dumping all your vitriolic musings into one post and then leaving those who still wish to study this stuff alone?????????

Likewise.....your analysis of what he talked about as far as trade placement, position sizes, risk, and everything else you just commented on is FLAT WRONG

Could you make money with this? Do the math. And that does not include the supplementary positions he talked about. You also conveniently skipped the part where he mentioned some are able to trade at 99%.....but that it is not necessary to do so to make money.
Scotty.....seriously. You try TOO hard. Stop immersing yourself into things you are not certain about. There's no point to it. The old factory does not need Robocop on duty to protect the meek, weak, and stupid. And....if it did....you could do a lot more good protecting folks from the Jackos who are actively posting about their methods with the obvious intention of garnering a following. There is NO FEAR of that ever happening here. Last thing anyone posting here wants is mass dissemination of these methods.

If you think all I'm trying to do it get a last word in, what is it you are doing? My post was completely neutral. I did not say that what PiprPro said means that he is not profitable, but quite the contrary. I excluded his resume, because it doesn't mean much in the context of debating about whether or not fibs work. I also excluded the 99% comment because it was not Pip's performance, but someones else's, who is accustomed to going into heavy DD. What pip said, dispelled a lot about what is true and no so much so in this thread. It sounds like fibs in the way you guys are trading them are very subjective. There is not one master formuala or cycle you guys are trading together, just lots stuff floating around that everyone has adapted to work in their own situations. According to PiprPro's post, yes, his fib style is profitable, but it's not 100% like Skunny advertises early in this thread.
Also, capitalization, win rate, R:R are all interrelated. Giving Pip merit in regards to his resume, my guess is that he is very well capitalized. If this is true, then indeed his situation is likely very comfortable given the performance specs he was kind enough to share.
