Looking bearish to me. i'm glad summer is almost over. only taken two trades so far this week, one stopped out @ BE and EU short @ 2827 stop above 2880

It looked strange to me too, but that's the market and it's always right. They really took that PMI increase serious. Sometimes I get a hard time trading what I think instead of what I see.

Either this was buying the bs and selling the news or its going back up to test 1.33.

1.29 should be tested regardless since that trendline was broken today.

I see it now (I think looking at the weekly chart). We should be heading for 1.3775 by end of November.

In economics, austerity is when a government reduces its spending and/or increases user fees and taxes to pay back creditors. Austerity is usually required when a government's fiscal deficit spending is believed to be unsustainable.

Generally, tighter money supply = stronger currency. If Germany says they are spending less and the Fed rumors QE2 may be necessary, that's a green light for the E/U northbound bus.

BTW, for some reason, when it comes to "fundamental analysis", even though I usually succeed in convincing myself I am right, I am almost always wrong.
