Yep, keepin it real - S&P futures are up 9-10 pts, spot oil up 6 bits, but a 200 pip drop on the yoorow, sure, that's plausible - hey it's forex. More tinfoil...

From my point of view, I don't see that level coming soon. Strong support on 1.2662-1.2584 zone.

Not sure yet what level target will be.

My bias is long for the EU and have been buy her for the past to weeks, but please don't follow me. I'm more of a short term swing day trader. I'll do long or short all day.

I wait for a break out then retest of level broken for direction. Then jump in on momentum of second wave to next level trying to get at least 50% of a move. I trade TF m5, m15, h1, h4 and I even trade the range if it's big enough to get a good move.

European Forex Technicals: New EUR/CHF Lows Towards 1.2806

LONDON (Dow Jones)



Intraday EUR/USD: Tuesday's setback off 1.2744 keeps euro strength capped, and suggests support at 1.2661 is likely to face a fresh attack. Action has been largely corrective and directionless since the August 24 low at 1.2588, but a break below 1.2661 would put bears in control of the near-term, exposing 1.2625 and threatening to put pressure on the 1.2588 low. A sustained push above 1.2709 would point the spotlight at 1.2744 and the August 27 peak at 1.2780.

Weekly chart EUR/USD trend: Bearish.



Intraday USD/JPY: Tuesday's recovery off 83.83 has been maintained, and resistance at 84.58 is likely to face renewed pressure. However, gains look limited to the 84.84 lower high and the pivotal 84.92 area. Failure to break above 84.58 would prompt a setback to 84.25 and the 84.05 area, where the right-hand shoulder of an inverse head-and-shoulders base would be found.

Weekly chart USD/JPY trend: Bearish.



Intraday GBP/USD: GBP weakness is likely to continue following the break into fresh five-week lows below 1.5371, and the key 1.5225/30 support level is set for a test. However, a fresh wave of bear pressure is required to force a break below there, creating scope for the 1.5113/26 area on a sustained break below 1.5225. Corrective upside scope is limited to the 1.5460 area.

Weekly chart GBP/USD trend: Bearish.



Intraday USD/CHF: Another lurch lower below 1.0220 Tuesday keeps the dominant bear trend intact, and support at 1.0136 is set to face renewed pressure Wednesday. The downwave equality target at 1.0075 is likely to be met, which coincides with a 29-month bull support line, suggesting a likely area to attract a significant recovery. Only a break above 1.0225 would question the bearish outlook.

Weekly chart USD/CHF trend: Bearish.



Intraday AUD/USD: Support emerged at 0.8861 Tuesday to prompt a strong recovery, and Monday's high at 0.9029 is under threat. A break above there would lift near-term prospects, opening the August 17 lower high at 0.9079 and leaving the August 25 reaction low at 0.8770 as a bear failure in the process. Only a break below 0.8915 would question the bullish outlook and expose the 0.8861 low.

Weekly chart AUD/USD trend: Range.

* The pivot is the sum of the high, low and close divided by 3.

Its only been a few months and i am 50/50 win /losses so am beating myself up at the moment....must get better.

For what it's worth, and that may not be much...

when I put a fib covering the prices in the pic (Daily chart) - slightly adjusted to fit, to me anyway - I get a 23.6 fib right on 1.2720.

I know its not how its done in the book, whatever that is. But it works out more points of contact.
Am I full of it?

Thats what I have learnt the hard way !! been trading sometimes 10% of pot because my account was small.

Now trading 2% & focusing on not losing money rather than concentrating on making money...dont know if thats the right way but seems to stop me being so gun ho !!.

also learning to place a trade & leave it alone rather than cut losses. Emotions emotions....lol

I hear that. I trade even shorter terms, but i need to keep track of S/R, i can eliminate a lot of losses that way. Its self evident that the more people that believes in a support, the stronger it gets. Although big bucks does what ever big bucks wants of course.

I think ill talk to my wife until we get out of the 1.2722 - 1.2695 zone, PA aint doing much of anything real anyway.

Just dont want to see my opurunities squashed today between this level and the news coming in this afternoon.

Very true on that when it comes to short term trading. I don't usually go down to the tick, m1, or 3m TFs, the m5 seams to go be good enough for me.

You do need to keep track of the larger TFs and levels. Otherwise, as you know your too busy trading then lose track of the big picture and get hit with a 40-100 pip wash out. I mostly get the 5 to 20 pip moves and sometimes the 40-80 pips moves.

I look to just get the singles and doubles and once is a while may be a home run. Soon, I'll only look to take the 5 to 20 pip moves with just larger size.
