Steve I know I bother you alot and ask for alot of things with your bots but is there any chance you could put in the original 2.4.2 recovery system? I've been using it with great success and call me superstituous but "don't fix what ain't broke" right? Just asking since I liked how L2 was 2x the lot since I'm using different reentry pips based on how Bob suggested so some pairs have much wider reentry pips. Thanks.

My opinon on this is that so far Bob has been rock solid (granite in fact) on his systems. He is not hasty. If he is recommending it, i suggest that it be allowed to take root.

I understand the nervousness in changing, especially when the pips are flowing...however bob has not steered us wrong.

Or just use the version before?

can you tell me please what are Bob's advice for reentry levels on the diferent pairs ?
and yes, really dealers scaling in is 1-2-4, not 1-1-2-4, as we have now, though works good

I must say that 1.1.2.4 recovery works good, just bot has problems when trend is sustain , long one ..... huge down drowns .... and might perform even better trading from A zone .......
and can not wait to see what the super bot will be bob's and david's put together at one real monster.... made by Steve of course

Ok guys, you can play with Recovery to your hearts content. All three strategies are available via inputs. It will be fascinating to run the same backtest using all 3, one after the other.

Anyone backtesting 1.2.4 over a long period will have seen the account decimated at some stage. This is because the robot shuts up shop at 4 open trades; we would then be managing the trades manually, closing out the old L1 to add the new L4 at each subsequent re-entry level.

What this means is that 1.2.4 will not get a fair crack in backtesting and may emerge looking rather poor. We shall have to see.

in the settings it's just: 2.4.2 true/false... that's all.

Do I miss something? And the EA #1...7 true/false are not there anymore as I suppose they are all on now!?

I forgot to tell NB that there are now 3 Recovery modes, so the lot sizes are only updating when 1.1.3.3 is selected.

Fix in post 1.

EU backtest 5th Jan - 28th June 1020. Alpari UK demo 1:500, 0.1 lots on a £10,000 deposit, using

 

  1. 1.1.3.3: +£181
  2. 2.4.2: +£211
  3. 1.2.4 +£832

Tp using 1.2.4 is either the top/bottom gold line or the result of the iExposure calculation, whichever is the largest.

Not exactly a representative sample, but huge difference that makes this worth forward testing.

Look at post #1161. Basically I combine his middle 2 groups into 1. So I have low volatility group with 150 pip reentry, the 2 med groups with 200 pip reentry, and the high volatility ones with 250 pip reentry. I do not trade zone B just because I personally have not had much success with it. Anyone here have backtested with both zone trades on care to share their results?

From tonight I will test on another demo the new version posted today from Steve, with the code from my last 2 posts added, and will compare the results of the 2 bot versions
