DislikedOk guys, you really don't want to hear about the utter pooh-bar of a day I have had.
Tough. You are going to hear about it anyway.
I knew Recovery was going to provide a headache when I first coded it. Little did I know.
I decided today that the only way forward for the 1.1.3.3 thingy was to remove all requirement for a magic number. That was the easy bit.
Then, the Laws of Unintended Consequence kicked in - big time.
Every damn time I solved a problem here, it created a fresh one there, Solving that problem...Ignored
DislikedHey bud, it does get overwhelming when there is so much code to go through, scrolling up/down/up/down.... instead of fighting with it would it make sense to get back and simplify and re-structure and just get rid of all the extras and just stick with the NB basics without having so many options to mess with your head?
Haven't read all the NB threads but was wondering why all this extra code;Ignored

DislikedThat I believe is used to detect trend direction. Gives the user the option to choose whether ATR, ADX, or LSMA.Ignored
DislikedHehe. The level in the bottle is dropping rapidly.
Your post made me realise that I did not make it clear that the bot is now working correctly, so far as I can tell.I have edited the post.

DislikedI was thinking something Steve.....I know that you are so busy though...as you are doing so many things (great things for all here)..... on dif. bots etc...
well, my idea is to add in recovery trades "the pro style", i.e. that recovery trades has "real scaling in", like dealers does....i.e. 1st recovery 100%, 2cond 200% and 3th 400%, what is not martingale sys...,it is scale in true sys...
with this the recovery needs only little points to go in "black" +++.....
and would be nice if the recovery trades dont close so fast , i.e. that can close...Ignored
Let's play with this in backtester this weekend, and see which version we want on the demos next week - this or the 1.1.3.3 version in post 1.
DislikedAnd just to prove how easy changes are to make when everything is in place and correct, here it is:
- L1: primary trade
- L2: lot x 1
- L3: lot x 2
- L4: lot x 4
- TP is top gold line for a sell, bottom gold for a buy, so long as these result in >= breakeven; if not, the bot calculates a be tp.
