Given what's happened recently, i think i'll "speculate", each time, on a bad US news and so :
1) I'll buy before the news. Because people will punish the dollar on the bad news.
2) I'll sell after the news. Because even though the dollar got punished, the risk aversion will have increased and so euro will be losing ground in the long run

What does your guys think about it?

React to what's going on in the market. Don't predict. You have no idea what others WILL do. It's just your imagination and wishful thinking. Don't assume anything. Try to make money, not to be right.

Even when number is red, you have to wait to see if it means anything to others.

stand aside before news & watch to see what happens - let the spread come back to near normal - moves at news not easily predicted, often counterintuitive - you don't have to get all of the volatile move, just an easier slice will do

In the last few months speculating on the US bad news is becoming less speculation and more a certainty.... sounds like a good plan as long as price retrace/for longs & overshoot/short and not if it just blind entries in the middle of nowhere based only in this scenario.... I guess you also have a plan B and C with areas of entries/exits/stay on the lines if news don't match your expectations.

Good morning everybody...
Could be fine to buy some minutes immediately before the news realese, and put adeguates SL and TP.... Sometimes it's question of few seconds and you could have not the time to sell it before the retracement.

jumping in just before news imo bad idea
I'm trying allways to step in much earlier and waiting for news to boost my position.

About new home sales... i'm holding half of my long from 1.2650 SL 1.2652
I think that data will be neutral or good and it will rise EU.
Only really bad data can move it down.

80% win rate, drawdown manageable, unwise to play with 1%/trade trading on average 5 times a month.
