That is my view of it. It is a good pump, tradeable, though I did not. From your chart we can see that all three SonicR technicals put in, or look like they will end up putting in, lower highs even after the pump....the PA, the Dragon, the Trend.

No Sonic trades for me this week so far. The daily bars on EU and GU look like picket fences, not much room for big runs. I made a few non-Sonic trades, and lost, so I'm on the sidelines until something breaks.

I still have to learn when not to trade.

Look at the difference in where they are placed between your chart and mine and the PA track on each. You should be able to see the big difference.

Open the external inputs for the Market Panel Display Controller and drop down to #6, "vLines_Server_GMToffset". I bet yours is set to "0". However, your broker server is NOT at GMT time. Instead, it seems to be like mine, at GMT +3. And therefore this input needs to be changed to "3".

I not sure about GMT offset. Have set my indicator for GMT to be "3" now.

I used this indicator mainly for the High and Low Trading Range.
Have not utilise the other useful info from it.

Are we meant to trade in the times of the vertical lines between "<" and ">" ??
Is this how to use it?

FB, Supports and Resistances are Zones. So don't set your TPs (or SLs) just on the high or low. you should've took tp were TAH did. You're trade was fine ...

No worries. I just had one sonicR entry this week and closed with +36 pips profit (bought EU at the beginning of the week). Share you're losing trades so we could help you filter those losing ones better.

P.S. : Still in UJ trade ... With wide SL and TP ...

This is from post #12, one of the most essential posts in this thread, imho. I don't understand why members don't bother to read it, or so quickly forget it's contents.......

1. Nice Trading time periods, that have major movement.... UK is the main centre of Forex and UK/US session overlap has a lot of movement too....

Trading Time
1AM - 4 AM EST (UK session)
7AM - 11 AM EST (US session)

......and the "<", ">" brackets encompass the entire span from 1AM EST to 11AM EST.

USDCHF:

This had a range breaking day yesterday with a move 50% greater than the average....against dollar strength. And this pair has retraced less of the "anti-dollar" move than have other pairs.

So, if this pair sets up and starts to run SonicR long, there is a lot of territory it can retrace, making for a run of good potential. Ok, here is the speculative part. If the PPMs sense this too, what is to stop them from first heading it south to make their buys before running north to make their profits? An early euro session move south (Frankfurt Head Fake?) would not negate a subsequent SonicR long trade. Heck, if they drive it hard south first, even that move could be tradeable!

Just speculation, so let the market decide.

There have been a couple of comments above about scarcity of good trade opportunities this week. PA sure seems squirrely and erratic, with messy-looking long-tailed candles.

Anyone hear that this happens in August because a lot of the pros are vacationing? I have heard e.g. that the Europeans take basically the month off. Of course not every one, but less activity would account for the volatility and reduced volume (relatively speaking).

And, could the PA also be attributable to major course-changes underway, i.e. weak-to-strong dollar?

This is my first pass thru this time of year seriously following the market, so I don't have historical perspective on the above.

Either you, or someone else previously asked about late summer vacations effect on the market. Ok, here is my take on this.

I have included a Weekly chart of the most highly traded pair, the EURUSD, so show that trading activity is not at all falling off. In fact, the last and current week are up, and today is not over yet. The busiest part of today hasn't even begun!

Large trading outifts, like SOROS and other hedge funds NEVER take a vacation from manipulating the market for profits......NEVER! Now perhaps some of their top traders take vacation time off around now, but the firms themselves keep at the grinding wheel. They need to make money every day, every week, every month....and even they never know when golden opportunities to manipulate for profits are going to occur.

Long Trade Opened:

Made early entry off support of whole number. Can add at SonicR EP when setup occurs. The risk of this early entry is that the Frankfurt or even the London traders could whip this back down even lower, so that they can gain the advantage of lower entry prices, and causing me to miss an even lower early entry myself.

I hope someone can help me with this problem:

I have support and resistance lines on my charts. If i would unintendedly close the chart they would have all gone. This would be very frustrating. Is there a possibility to save them or so?

Go to Tools/Options/Charts/ and check "save deleted charts to reopen". Then when you close a chart you can reopen it by going to File/Open Deleted/ and clicking on the chart you want out of the list of charts that were closed, but saved.
