I did not check the earnings calendar today....but my guess would be that earnings for some big players fell short......you see this alot after hours....a couple of weeks ago when INTEL reported and had great earnings the futures rocketed up about 30 points....hope that helps.

i checked the news, but I couldn't find some reasons for the slide... however I think that there are some people selling into the low volume...let's see what they're making tomorrow.

Here is my trade i got in.. Based on a trendline which holded, and the upper trendline which hopefully got broken.. also the volume tells me that the move down that touched the trendline was an action for buyers to reload. Lets see how this will be played out :-) Goold luck guys

30k volume on the es on the 3min chart is not low volume......but I do agree with you....wait and see what tomorrow brings.

I expect to see a wave of risk off in Asia. There's quite a few topping formations on risk assets being formed. An immediate market drop is expected. Over the medium term I think Friday next week is going to be an excellent day for a proper crash, given the US GDP report, which I believe will turn up well in the red.
