EUR-USD : Elliott : Setup, Stance & Strategy - Ex Rollover Situation - on a monthly, weekly and daily basis :

Monthly : Elliott : crucial reversal point
Monthly : Current rise seems to be over near 1.3068 or 1.3360 for a retracement towards 1.2777 - 1.2612 area.

Weekly : Elliott : flat correction up 1.3427
Weekly : One move lower to 1.3119 or 1.2947 is anticipated while below 1.3313 - 1.3399 area. Stop loss above 1.3506 zone.

x - Day : Elliott : impulse wave up 1.3383

24-Hour : Current rise seems to be over near 1.3313 or 1.3364 for a retracement towards 1.3261 - 1.3225 area.

Prior + : If market stays below 1.3212 a fall to 1.3127 is expected. If market breaks the point 1.3243 it could reach the sky.


Elliott : Projection & Warning - on a monthly, weekly and daily basis :

Monthly : 1.1876 Projection > 1.3896
Monthly : Warning: Imminent end of bullish move

Weekly : 1.1876 Projection > 1.3692

good working but its not good for long term traders day trader can work with it..points are perfect but i think 3560 could be perfect reversal point because it is a 50% fibo of 1.51-1.18 so i think better to long for now

Just in order to mention it a bit more precise - excuse me - 1.3510 is 50% of whole move from 1.5144 towards 1.1876 ...

IMO, that 50% (+/- 1.35xx) is good especially because is the last valid weekly R before the selloff. However, I am not completely convinced is going to be tested "soon".

My view is, if Euro fundamentals keep holding and the dollar fundamentals keep going bad, a retrace in the next few weeks without reaching that level, is a must to keep the uptrend and respect fundamentals & it will leave the door wide open for a stronger euro until the end of the year (and a test of that levels or above later).

If that doesn't happen and euro test 1.35xx next week I am more inclined to a major change in fundamentals and the big retrace a lot of people is waiting for 1.25 or below. In other words short term (next few weeks) fundamentals are supporting a stronger euro but for that, a small retrace or consolidation 1.30xx/1.32xx is "required" (in my books of course) and only after a test to 1.35xx.

I've been waiting patiently for this thing to retrace back to 3230 or 3220 area, so I can load up on my Longs, but so Far, nothing yet.

No real consolidation or retrace... Maybe in a few hours hopefully.

Hello fellow traders,

Maybe Central banks will buy USD while its cheaper now?

My opinion of German Trade Balance and German Exports data in 7 hours, could be that EurUsd will go long if expexted or better as forecast.

I think EurUsd goes long as there is no other planned USA data release, and traders are left only to speculate about Dollar strenght.

If price is very close to 1.324 also the fridays 50% Fibo retracement then it could be a good entry for long.

USDX seems to try breaking 80.52 level again.

EUR/USD - to consolidate with bullish bias. Pair supported by broad-based USD weakness. But EUR sentiment dented by surprise 0.6% on-month drop in German June industrial production (vs forecast for 0.7% increase). Data focus: 0600 GMT German June manufacturing turnover, German June trade balance. EUR/USD daily positive-biased as MACD bullish, while stochastics stay elevated at overbought, suggesting sideways or higher EUR/USD trading near-term. Resistance at 1.3333-1.3342 band (Friday's high-April 30 reaction high); breach would expose upside to 1.3510 (50% Fibonacci correction of 1.5144-1.1875 Nov. 25-June 7 decline), then 1.3536 (200-day moving average). Support at 1.3225 (hourly chart), then at 1.3155 (Friday's low); breach would temper near-term positive outlook, targeting 1.3117 (Thursday's low), then 1.3051 (Aug. 2 low), 1.2978 (Aug. 6 low) and 1.2949 (July 27 low).


GBP/USD - to consolidate with bullish bias. Pair underpinned by negative USD sentiment; but gains tempered by surprise 0.5% on-month drop in UK June industrial production (vs forecast for 0.6% increase), concerns over negative impact of fiscal tightening on UK economic growth. GBP/USD daily chart positive-biased as MACD bullish, while stochastics stay elevated at overbought, suggesting sideways or higher GBP/USD trading near-term. Resistance at 1.6002 (Friday's high); breach would expose upside to 1.6069 (Feb. 3 reaction high), then 1.6276 (Jan. 28 high). Support at 1.5938 (hourly chart); then at 1.5837 (Friday's low) and 1.5818 (Thursday's low); breach would temper near-term positive outlook, exposing downside to 1.5694 (Aug. 2 low), then 1.5549-1.5543 band (Aug. 6 low-July 28 low) and 1.5526 (200-day moving average).

Anyway ... from market rythm ... I want to see it first a bit more up ... then down ...

All in all - within the levels and key-points as mentioned before ...

As we do not trade decisions based on charts ...

Good evening traders,

Just a quick hello - I am a new member to Forex Factory. I have been reading this thread for probably 6 months now and finally decided to sign up. I have been trading for a year and half now - Start with stocks and now I stick to futures trading. I trade oil, gold, es mini, nq mini and now just starting to trade the eruo futures. I alwasy watched the Euro for market direction but never traded it until tonight.

I have enjoyed reading this thread and I hope to be able to contribute to it now.

Hi guys,

I'm long at 1.3290, 1.3284 and 1.3278. If the price falls to 1.3260, I will take another long position and continue taking them as long as it falls.

The consensus seems to be that this is a good week to go long.

Here is how I see EW on H1 basis:

3 waves complete of Wave 5 of 5. Looks to be at about another day or so and another 100 pips or so to go complete 5th wave.
