I've read really terrible things about IBFX. Are they any good?

this system was tested and designed for alpari why would you open with something else in fact I took money out of my fxdd and opened an alpari acct

Moved my account from FXDD to IBFX to Alpari-US. Just got funded and am setting it up as we speak.

I put my trust in you and your system and held on to that tues trade with the up and down see saw which got down to a -125 X 3 trades = negative -375 pips, scary , but i held on and made +18, +22 and +50 = +90 pips while I was sleeping using IBFX live.
Thankyou again for all your hard work to achieve this fantastic EA you built.

I have had IBFX for a few years and they seem to be pretty good.
They have good customer support.
They dont always trade when other broker trade on this EA, but then again I havent had a loss in about two months with geoffs EA.
I seem to here good and bad about all the brokers.
What did you here bad about Ibfx.
There rated as the top forex broker in the US, of course i dont know who the judges are.

Oh idk. Just reading things like they requote alot etc etc. Right now im using forex.com and they absolutely suck. I'm probably going to run this EA on alpari but use oanda for all other trading. I like their software.

In the next Tokyo version there will be a timed exit which I have been testing
and discussing with piptician.

After a trade has been running for 8 hours it will accept a small profit (7 pips)
on all open orders, this stops most of the long running orders and there is
very little effect on the overall profit, in 12 month back testing it removes
the two losing days and would have closed this latest marathon after 8 hours.

Good idea.

This latest trade worked out in the end, but I think that the idea is NOT to hold and hope for most of a week!

I agree, it became a matter of "luck" after the first day which is not what one could call a safe strategy!

However, it did prove the value of trading "with the trend"!

The two are as different as night and day. (I've had live accounts with both). Alpari U.K. is very good. Alpari U.S. sucks royally! Unfortunately they won't allow me to reopen a live U.K. account being in the U.S. For the most part, since broker's demo accounts ARE different than live accounts you won't know how good (or bad they are) until you start getting requotes, delays of up to 15 seconds in closing a trade, or pop-up windows saying "Parameters Invalid" when you click on the close trade button or a myriad of other situations.

lot size after only one loss, but waited for two consecutive losses before reducing, profits would accrue much faster. Or, add faster than reduce. Of course, this can be done manually, but I think out resident programming wizards can pull it off. Pippo EDIT: With a 95% win rate, the chance of two consecutive losses within a series of fifty trades is 12%(see post#56,"Heiken-Ashi System," thread).

Why don't you setup demo accounts with the brokers shown on the 1st post of this thread and see which works out the best?

There was also a poster on here who would put up the weekly performance of the EA accross various brokers (this was very helpfull)

Perhaps a trawl through the various pages will help?

This will be incorporated into Tokyo v17 along with a few other tweaks which will be ready by the middle of next week. The max time for leaving a position open and min profit will both be parameters that will default to 8 hours and 7 pips respectively.

Sounds great, you guys are freaking awesom!

@dam, I've been through alot of the pages, I'll give it another look, but yes I've been setting up demos from different brokers. Unfortunately, demos never show the broker's problems, and it won't show how this EA performs on each one. It'll give a little taste, but not the whole meal.

It seems like people use IBFX or Alpari US, but everyone has bad things to say about both. I may stick to the ECN that geoff provided. Then again, I've never used an ECN before, so idk what that will effect.
