back , so no new development , bull lost its nerve here with some false moves up & back to pavilion again .To allow pullback & old diamond like swing to play . 1.2973 is most important here at tl & once tested , break this level to test RL 1.2950 , may bounce to 2977 and if pass then 93 and more pips down below RL towards 1.2908 & further down possible.

So some of us waited for the Durable Goods Orders news to come. However, there was no clear direction. Does anyone have any idea what happened? If fundamentals mattered what should have been the direction?

I'd say: no clear direction means no clear direction. Do not wait for news to trade your strategy, because you get burn sooner than you think so!
EURUSD is still w@nking in its "range"... I'm out till I see something else than that. 44 hours of massive nothing on the pair, yeah!

Edit:

USDCHF reached 1.056 again... will it bounce or not I think this hourly candle could show us.
If it bounces I'd watch EURUSD for taking a SHORT position... if not, then LONG is highly expected on the pair as GBPUSD is in the "heaven" already...

I hope you are in the right side of the market after the news.... "...worst than expected a move down to +/-1.2975 and up again to test 1.3050..." now 1.3020 area last intraday R before a test on the highs.....

If numbers play around forecast or in the same level of correction of the revision 1.3020 and down, if there are worst than expected a move down to +/-1.2975 and up again to test 1.3050 area and then again beige book can trigger the weekly breath sell (1.3036). If there are lot better straight to 129.50 area.

things are worse there then media is saying also. workers hours are cut to keep unemployment rate lower. its a little trick, workers hours are cut to keep more workers working. it would add a few points on unemployment rates if not. underemployment rate is high. the guys working are taking home less money.

may be you are right too but market tried 3-4 times to break 2970 level and still unable to break it so it is indicating that it will go up not down check GU also its on high its confusing situation aussie is down euro is ranging and pound is making high...

Ubaidasan,

Aussie is down becasue of gold, pound is high because big macroeconic good numbers. Euro is stuck because good macro numbers but I think big selling was taking place before the stress bank that were not that bad at the end. So i do agree with momentum up daily & above but I think it need a small weekly breath before continue... we'll see
