ATC, after much worry, closed late in the evening (early morning) with three winners using v16, of +22pips, +25pips and +30pips (my settings). My FXDDD (4 positions?) were closed by FXDD due to lack of funds and margin call, and lost 4X30 pips. Ouch. Needs more capital to trade $1 pips. But ATC a nice winner, again validating the system. 66trader66

The system was good again for first tp 20 pips.

I woke up to 3 winnng trades: +22, +24, +26 FXDD live camV5...on the way to recovery from Black Friday.

Special thanks to Sashasan for the indicator he has so generously coded based on Geoff's strategy using the moving averages and fractals that can used for manual trades. I was able to place 2 successful trades in GBPUSD today based on the indicator. You know I will doing more with it here on out. (Not at the ea's time, other times.)

Thats an interesting approach - I currently take three trades TP 22,50,80 SL 140

If the system were modified to take the first two targets immediately and enter a buy/sell limit 30-50 pips below/above the entry level then TP @ same as 22 - profitability could be increased for a reduction in risk.

This final trade may not always trigger but could still improve profitability.

Would love to see that factored into the EA.

Sounds interesting

but it's funny we are trying to improve a 100% (on alpari at least) on 1 year backtest ea.
This is part of the reason I place .1 lots when my acct balance reflects more of a .04 lot at 3% risk so in effect I'm risking over 30% ouch maybe I should rethink this......

Dryclean,

The risk can be heavy - the impact of this should be weighed against the EAs profitable consistency and the likely hood of consecutive losses.

30% risk with Money Mgt will wipe out 50% of your account after 2 consecutive losses.

I just think that if there is a possibility to reduce risk and increase profits for us then that could be good for us.

NO NO NO I'd get SO real fast blow my whole acct

right now I'm .1 lot x 2 or 3 orders per trade
I started with $733 and now I'm close to $1700 since 07-01

I didn't do all of this with the Tokyo I also do London

It's just $1700*3% risk =$51 / 140 =.04 lots

.04 times tp1 of 22 *.4 and 34 *.4 = about 20 bucks
.1 times the above now I can get a piece of pie with that coffee

but the risk is now $420 instead $51 on 3 orders

I watch it carefully and check other things before letting the ea enter a trade

I'm using the houses money right now (till I lose then it's my money I know)

Is this a full automatic EA which makes the trades alone?
Or is this a EA were i have to open the trades alone and the EA manages them?
