You are so right. I generally analyse very systematically but this time I got so caught up in the closing of the candle below the dragon that I did not go through the proper steps. Thanks for calling me on it Basber.

Not at all. You're entry due to dragon and few pips below the dragon is fine. The thing with your entry that I don't like is the wave. after the move down, there is no clear pull back, in other words, there is no lower high after that high. If we were to define pullbacks, do they have to be restricted within the dragon? I ask because many a times I have seen trades by seniors where the pullback exceeded the limits of the dragon...
This is taking a toll on me… Every time I believe that it has all sank in well, I am back to square one and page one of this thread …

Chantalb, why is the spread not displaying in the 'panel'? Is the indicator not working properly?

I guess Basber is busy elsewhere at the moment, so I'll comment on those two highlighted pullbacks. I'd say they qualified, because they are well defined both in height and separation. Another thing to look at is the continuity of the candlesticks 'flow'. This case is somewhat radical (wide swings on some candles), and loses points because of that.

True! I probably traded my whishes more than a real move. I even used ZZ-Fractals for valid waves indetification and there was no wave!

Like TAH mentioned, it's a valid move for a long SonicR setup. Sorry for the late answer, it was 4 a.m. so I was too sleepy and went to bed

No prob... hope you slept well ... I will from now on ignore all setups once price pulls back out of the dragon, even if the wicks pierce the other side and price still closes inside it... My goal should be to be more picky.

GU Short:

Good NVO activity as PA rolled over at the top, and started down. Not much in the way of definable waves, but PA is bouncing away from strong resistance area shown on Daily chart.

So it is ok for the candles pulling back to go through the dragon and even close beyond it? If I get this, what interests us is seeing H-L-LH-LL regardless of the shape it comes in as long as we have a LL under the dragon... So as long as the pullback doesn't go beyond the last H trade is valid... Uffff ... sometimes it is harder to put in words what logic one wants to learn.

You are using MT4 with FXDD? MT4 provides all the easy line drawing and chart picture saving for posts.

Yes, I'm using Mt4 and have been for years. I am going to feel really stupid if you point out how to draw short lines and wave lines, because I have looked everywhere on the platform and cannot find them, trendlines, S/R lines, text, labels, yes but "custom" lines--I can't find.
