I would consider support at 2860, any break below would be a suitable short.........IMHO.

Yes - dear lonetrader - that can be explained very easily. I am a daytrader - and therefore I mean 38.2% of the whole daily move from Friday - daily inside move only, from Friday - July 23th - and its highest was at about 1.2967 and lowest has been around 1.2794 (according to the Interbank Statistics) and therefore we have had seen a 173 Pips SPAN.

1.2859 is 38.2% of this inside day SPAN between 1.2967 high and 1.2794 low...

Thats all...

Same here I smell a real good trader. We are all very lucky to have such great knowledge shared amongst us. Being in the 38.2% span is what comforts me most.

BTW - 1.2967 has been hit on Friday - during early LONDON Session - but right it has not been crossed at that time. No wonder - that was because markets were reluctant prior to that omnious release of the "STRESS TESTS RESULTS"...

But after all - that gave us twice the chance of jolly good moves and a double rejection near or close to the 1.28-figure zone...

Funny thing about divergences is they can be found showing the opposite as well. Take a look at the most recent low points on your indicator in comparison to price at the same time. LL on indicator while HH on price seems to say bullish.

I personally see very little value in divergences (naturally others differ) other than looking at the duration an indicator stays in divergence. Which is yet another technique Tom DeMark developed.

Well - sh#t can happen sometimes. Unfortunately prices can vary a bit from finance service to finance service - as it is a OTC market rules here. But you could ask for ECN-rates (or 5 diggit Interbank Connection) with some services - that would minimize that effects a bit....

UJ (87.60), EJ (113.30) and GJ (136.00) are all at the upper H4 range line. If they don't break it further north I will trade the EU still in a H4 range and/or of daily Bollinger (20) with 1.3120 - 1.2240 and prefer M1/M5/M15/M30 till a trend of H1/H4 could be more coming up more clearly. Time will come to earn the money.

Daily Stoch(5,3,3) shows up, daily CCI(14) a divergence (more down), MACD (12,26,9) down, too. May be daily EMA120 could be broken near 1.2992 or DR1 1.2972, may be market price will pushed further north till EMA200 around 1.3300. We don't know.

The "WEEKLY STANCE" for the EUR/USD pair is for us within this WEEK No. 30 as follows:

Structures suggest a test towards 1.2958 - 1.2971 at first or 1.3004 - 1.3051 in case of an extention. But as long as capped below 1.2983 or 1.3007 - 1.3051 it is more likely that marked could see a pullback towards 1.2756 later or even a sell off towards 1.2698 or 1.2597 in case of an extention. Breach of above 1.3097 - 1.3164 would cancel the downside.

From a Daily prospective the uptrend is still intact - and it should continue towards 1.2967 - 1.2986 at first. Limited upside potential at first - while capped there below 1.2967 - 1.2986 zone. If not crossed beyond that - one more pullback and re-test at 1.2871 - 1.2859/ 42 is possible then. Cross of below 1.2814 - 1.2777 would accelerate the downside.

EUR/USD - to range-trade. EUR/USD supported as most of 91 euro-zone banks passed regulatory stress tests (only 5 Spanish, 1 German & 1 Greek banks failed). Pair also underpinned by positive market risk sentiment, surprise 4.4-point jump in German July Ifo business climate index to 106.2 from June's 101.8 (against forecast for decline to 101.5). But EUR/USD gains tempered by lingering doubts over tests' stringency; EUR sales on soft EUR/GBP cross. EUR/USD daily chart mixed as MACD bullish, but stochastics falling from overbought. Resistance at 1.2930 (hourly chart); breach would expose upside to 1.2967 (Friday's high), then 1.3028 (Tuesday's high), 1.3093 (May 10 high), 1.3124 (38.2% Fibonacci correction of 1.5144-1.1875 Nov. 25-June 7 decline) and 1.3342 (April 30 reaction high). Support at 1.2791 (Friday's low); breach would expose downside to 1.2730 (Wednesday's low), then 1.2707 (July 15 low), 1.2680 (July 14 low) and 1.2520 (July 13 low).


Highest has been 1.29305 until now (02h02 CET) as Asian Hedge Funds buy EUR/USD and EUR/JPY during TOKYO SESSION...
