EU could suffering from credibility issues.

Because the weakness of the stress test, ECB/EU is looking to push the euro higher, pulling the wool over everyone's eyes. EU had plenty of time to release the testing details but instead released the results first then afterward released the guidelines on how the test would be conducted. It was a way to bring push euro up hard and fast before anyone caught on. It's as if their fudging the data and numbers a bit in their favor.

Speculators tend to take revenge off dishonesty, look at how we played EU/Greece because of all the misquoted data and blatant lies. Because of this wolf in sheep's clothing move, EU's credibility is just about gone and this may be the move that ruins the euro for the remainder of the year. All I'm saying, don't be surprised and caught off guard if a major drop happens next week. Really don't be surprised to see the SHORTS we've all been enjoying for the past few months picks up where it left off.

hi, i have been stalking this thread for over 2 months now and have been learning a great deal from you guys. havent joined in because i havent really had anything to add, just absorbing. i appreciate all of the charts you all have been posting as well. this is by far the most helpful thread i have come across.

There are lots apprehensions I see throughout the news about the stress test & mostly expect bear perhaps direct from next week but I do not simply believe this so early, it should test or at least try test 1.30 again & again if to fail for good at this low level.

Anyway next week as month end & so ( may be 1-2 more at best next month ) should be very important & decision making .Again simply abc correction for wave 2 up can be enough to break to down without delay with this present daily sell off remain active but again it should test 1.30 for some good bear pattern or bull failure .

presently the swings in H1 can be diamond forming in future for the great decision if allowed work , last time a smal diamond worked apparently at last with best try to avoid & headfakes/every false moves, perhaps only one last 1 year seen. In the red rectangle there possible lies a diamond swing small but not believe it may success for all down !!!! unsuccessfull leads to similar but opposit reaction to up towards 1.3183 that can make another swing /reaction high of a bigger diamond formation while reaction low be 1.2728 next to back at the centre 1.2854 . If so then trying to real break bull trend medium term up possible .

All in an imagination now , may be no such hard ground to end bull yet .
For continue to bull price should pierce this 1.3214 level without any confusion and fall below 1.2720 as of my imaginary marker of bull failure now for all bear .

I'm still undecided whether this latest rally is a change in trend or simply a deep retrace of the previous down trend as evident on daily charts. Usually to change a trend on the daily chart, you would need a pretty significant change in fundamentals. Some would say we've had that with good news out of a few of the EUR countries, like Germany.

The EUR is a complex beast when it comes to fundamental analysis, as it encompasses different countries and of course different cultures and approaches. Look at the difference between Spain and Germany for instance. Where its much easier to look at the Kiwi or Aussie and see where the fundamentals are trending.

That being said, I'm not convinced that the whole EUR picture adds up to improving fundamentals. The stress test is a perfect example. All its done is really added more confusion. Some believe that the results pacified the risk averse, and that sovereign debt is a non issue. Some believe that the test were not rigorous enough and did nothing to address the biggest risk - sovereign debt.

So as you might expect, the professional analysts that I've read over this weekend are extremely mixed. Some say EUR is ready to rally again, some say its ready to fall like a rock. Should be an interesting week, and especially the Sydney market open!

P.S. I'm happy to watch for a while, but I'm leaning toward going short especially if it retests 1.30. The swiss are still dumping EURs, but what is strange to me is the Tokyo sessions last week buying the E like crazy, each day!

there's gotta be a buyer if you wanna sell and vice versa, australia is still sleeping, so's Asia...no liquidity, spread is gonna increase. especially before the markets are even open( i don't mean, your broker, i mean the markets)
