ATC Broker triggered 3 live trades, all around 1.52856. My FXDD live account did not initiate any trades. Using CamvcvooV2a. Currently down 72 pips and looking somewhat doubtful. But we will stay the course for a little bit longer.

Be very carefull trading any system with real money going into Friday as Eurozone bank stress test data will be published.

It means everyone will find out how good/bad the levels of European bank debt is.

Hi Burton,

the official result is already clear. All relevant banks will pass and everyone will have to love the euro again.....that is at least the message we will be told. So how long do you think that the market and all these 18 year olds on the trading floors will need to find out the reality?
Will it take until next week or even next month?

I think unfortunately this ea needs to be run until it is dead. That's what I did with the carry trade as well. run the horse until it's dead and then find a new one which carries you on...

Mandl 2007,

are these live or demo accounts? I am asking because over the last week I find huge discrepancies between various demo and live accounts......it has something to do with spreads being in demo much tighter than in reality and hence the mas differ but which is more importantly the fractals differ much more and hence the entry into the trade

Hi Burton,

sorry if my post could have been misread and it felt offensive to anyone or you!

However I wanted to clarify my view that current market conditions are often hugely manipulated by official or semi-official market players and this most often happens on behalf of the big boys (FED, ECB) but as well by some smaller (SNB, but they will have no chance mediumterm in my view) and rising superpowers out of Asia.

So, if we believe that we are now in second leg of the downturn, do we then agree as well about more erratic price movements (remember 90 years ago wars were fought kinetic, to stay in US language, (i.e. physically murdering people)). In today's world, some governments have learned not to fight kinetic wars but economic wars (see the Pentagon's invitation to some hedge fund managers to simulate economic war on their IT infrastructure).

Does our infrastructure support this kind of market? Look at many many backtests pre 2008 and you will find out what I mean.

Or to stay in options language. What about if the fat tails of the normal distribution become fatter and fatter and exisitng algos cease to work the original way they were planned to be for?

Sorry again, my posts are not meant to be offensive but to bring awareness to some points which are not covered by the development of the operationality of the ea but which cope with the logic behind.

Hi Emanuele,

I assume your results are both for live accounts, correct? Because my demo accounts triggered last night and I assume this is because of different datafor live and demo accounts......

Me neither, it was just out of curiosity that I asked. Over the last 2 weeks I realized that the discrepancy between live and demo accounts widens and demo accounts seem to behave more risk friendly, i.e. open more trades.....do you experience the same?
