Aber Paul Linke läßt mehr Musik im CABLE spielen. Sterling is a fly high - boum zack - Schmetterball - Boris Becker Style - to the ground again...

After yet another aggressive squeeze higher on yesterday's open, which took out weak shorts, Eur/Usd finally ran into offers after making a new high at 1.3029. Although all the market chatter was focussed around making a key day reversal, we actually failed to close below the critical 1.2871 low and as such I am hesitant to pile into shorts just yet and will continue to stay flexible particularly with the EU bank stress tests to be released on Friday.

Having said that, we are seeing renewed interest in re-establishing short Eur positions, particularly on the crosses and given that we are struggling to take out the 82.00 support level in the dollar index, we may well be in for a USD bounce. 1.3000 had been the target for a lot of people on this move, and after failing to really make any headway through that level, it looks like we are likely to see some pullback in the coming few sessions: on the day, I will look to sell 1.2920/40. First support comes in at 1.2840 followed by 1.2780.

Come on, they are using Geithner's test. Landesbank was rumoured, but now apparantly passed so the only one I hear of so far is Hypo.

The biggest problem I have with the test is that it has no mark to market requirement

can be very soft , strong one at 2804, acually was a strong resistance than support ,similarly now target 2709, breaking levels should be difficult to up easily& accelerate down movements ,range will watch 2820-2780 better.
