Hi,

I notice that a number of us are using pivot points to identify extra points of S/R. Is anyone also using Fibs for a similar purpose? I use both although I only use the Fibs if they are really obvious.

Anyone else?

My last micro account had a 57% drawdown! (over about 5 months).
You can set a Custom Start date for your account.

Sign in, go to the account, then in the upper right, hit Custom Analysis.

Notice the little "pin" button to the right of the dates.
You can set the dates to whatever you prefer...
perhaps when you started following "The Dance" rules or whatever..

then click that "pin" button, it'll give you a graph and stats for that date range going forward.

I use Oanda, so I started a new sub-account...
trust me... my last one wasn't pretty... I've made alot of mistakes.

I'm very new to "The Dance".
I only use Pivots at present, no Fibs.

Thanks! Well, I'm not only new to The Dance but the whole trading thing is a complete stranger to me and I think I'm in the emotional stage right now, going to get over it any time soon (I feel a bit better every day). My current drawdown is 66%(Ohhh, that's huge).

Mine was -88% before the Dance. Now almost +740% (counting from the minimum)....... So, stay cool and keep with the rules of the game.

Thanks for encouragement! To be honest, your success with this strategy is a great confidence booster. Only thing to get over is discipline and patiance.

I thought draw down was how far it went against you before going for you..... ie how far into your Stop it goes before moving the way you thought it would???????????????

It was four when I posted. You guys are fast. In any case, this thread is now long enough that I don't need to post my trades, but anybody that is learning the method should post so that the rest of us can discuss and help each other. My target is to build a critical mass of a few people that can trade this method successfully (actually, from your posts it seems that a few of you are very close, all you are missing is discipline and some additional screen time). After this we could explore more advanced methods.

Well the bounce was quite strong, I wish I traded that (strong down day on Friday). I will start thinking more about these longer TF trades. Obviously, my fine-tuned entry should not be off an M5 chart but probably an M15 or H1.

I am not sure I know what you mean. Are you referring to the money management?
