With such a strong trend I expected to see some trades this night. Nothing on Alpari and FXpro with v16. Strange...
The price moved so smoothly there was no chance of an M15 upper fractal.

No trade with Alpari live or demo, no trade with Fxcbs live either!

When I realized that no trade was going to be entered on my forex.com/uk live account, I manually entered at 1.5203. I just closed it out at 1.5250. What a beautiful upward spike that was! I've managed to raise my small account by 70% since the end of May!

same here on Alpari uk live and demo, like many others already testified. But let's not forget the beautiful start into the week over yesterday's miss of a suitable entry point.

Yes, the fractal filter does reduce the overall number of trades but it is there

Yesterday they finished some kind of a promotion which would give you extra margin if you trade a lot and it seems that they changed something in the database. This happened at GMT22.10. The 2 things which changed with me are the following:
1) My trade history is in historical order, that means that trades on the 12th of July used to be at the bottom of the list, directly above came trades from 2nd of July and above trades from 28th of June. Now this order is reshuffled in a way that trades from 12th of July come above trades from the 2nd of July but everything else stays in historical correct order.
2) My backtests back to 1st of July 2009 so far gave 192 trades and now the 2 trades on 11th of May are missing and hence less P/L in the backtest.
Those 2 points make me belive that Alpari is massaging it's database. Perhaps I am naive ot think that these things don't happen (allthoug I know that governments are frequently using this methodology to win elections) but I was not aware that Alpari uk is doing it so explicitly.....Geoff, are you aware of that?

more likely that the spread is causing these different results.
When you use the tester it uses the latest "snapshot" of the current spread
for the whole test period, this can change from one minute to the next
and have a big impact on the results.

to give more food for thought some more parameters:
yesterday evening the spread was 2.5 pips same as now (Alpari uk classic live).
I uploaded my history, I received 90% modelling quality but I only got 13.618.633 ticks modelled right now with 186 trades taken. This compared to 13.670.358 ticks modelled yesterday evening with 190 trades and 13.771.182 yesterday afternoon with 192 trades taken.
So, the thing is about massaging the history, correct?
