We talked about this the other night. We were going to get a 50 or 61.8% fib corr. sooner than later. We are sitting at 50 now.

Don't know about an "uptrend" yet as the overall picture is still pointing down.... but I still see the possibility of a retrace to the 50 or even 61.8 level

Watch it like this: if EU gets bad news - how does the US stock market reacts to these news - if US stocks go down - USD will go UP. Easy.

Also, dont forget that there is no such thing as "bad news - it goes down" and "good news - it goes up". Prices have news expectations long before the news happens, so sometimes too good expectaions make price go down, even if the news were good at the first glance.

Just look at EUR/USD chart or even better USD index chart and main US stock indexes, there is a negative correlation. US stocks go down - traders sell them and keep the USD as "safe heaven", EUR and stocks are the ***risk***. Thats how i see it.

Euro ZEW News made the Euro rise
USD News Bad made Euro rise
The AUD has followed on the tail of Euro.

So now I am trying to +1 before any news announcement
the ZEW news was overshadowed by Euro bonds sale, the forex calendar should have included bond sale imo

Very simple, Good news for euro EUR/USD rise or bad news for usd then also it will rise and also EUR/GBP not to that extent, EUR/JPY and so on.. will rise, but other cases USD news is not concerned..

Simliary with any other pair..
