have had a long rest and now back with fresh feelings.
Feel you are right for long positions in Daily chart after long long shorts in daily..we have the oppurnity in long term that we can catch again 1.40 levels.. we need only to check the d1 chart and we can see that the down down is like finishing since december 2009 ..

EUR/USD pair is still in downtrend in daily chart since Dec 2009. See attached pic...
2700 completes the top of the flag formation, which leaves for either:
1- The flg formation would indicate continuation of downtrend. We would have to wait and see the break of further supports (2600, 2550, 2480....). Lookhere for more shorts

Good call gator... now Dow is ranging like I thought... perhaps continuation of downtrend... would be good if we have selloff EOD...
My Rim options I have been sad about for a week finally paid off I bought in at 0.35 cents after buying at 1.3 for july 17 calls and today I doubled my initial outlay Needless to say I am buying my coworkers lunch(You feel good giving a portion of your winnings... helps morale) May be classic case of buy the rumour sell the news since Tuesday will be annual meeting for Rimm where they will announce their plans maybe new phones... but we all know that they are losing the edge to google and apple.
Now lets see it drop I got some puts for Aug... if selloff occurs may be time for everything to drop.

Used to be around here "gap talk" didn't happen till Sunday, then it became Saturday's fav topic.
Let me be the first to ask if there will be a gap on the August monthly bar - 3 weeks ahead of time.

Looking at next week calendar, there wont be much happening until Tuesday German ZEW Economic Sentiment announcement.
Therefore, I would keep my shorts to Monday, see where it takes us to....

u won't hear another word on gaps from me! 
Talking about a gap is .... talking about a "possible" gap.
And as we all know talk is cheap.
Whether or not there is gap should have nothing whatsoever to do with holding a trade over the weekend or not.
Gaps are so ridiculously rare in forex, especially during the summer dulldrums. Now I'm not taliking about an opening above Friday's close of 5 or 10 pips. Or (love this one) with some oddball broker that opens 3-4 hours before the overwhelming majority of other brokers and whose price is meaningless once the rest have started the...

Talking about the gap on Sunday or even Saturday is useless since we'd be stuck already.
I like Sun's idea... lets talk about the Monthly gap a month early. At least if everyone did that, no one would be talking about this stupid weekend gap.
Anyone trading Live accounts should already be smart enough to know what the risks are w/o everyone coming in and repeating the same stupid gap talk for the 10,000th time like it never got said yet and they're the first to think about it..
And if they're not smart enough, then Mr Market will teach them about holding Open trades in volatile times better than any forum posts will. Bet on it...
If anyone IS smart enough to hold Open trades and stay profitable in this market, then they either have entries that allow them to do that with minimal risk or they understand the risk and sure won't add to their knowledge by re-reading the same gap posts for the millionth time.
Crikey.....
