I don't want misandertand your post Sir.
I'm surprised whay there were only one order on Alpari and SIG broker.
When I activated my Fx-angine there were on two sreens Stop-warning windows for each broker, which I think mean "no connection" with broker.
There wasn't any informations on Eksperts or Journal.
The informations were coleratet to the widows v7 and processor.
Because I wasn't properly wake up, so I gone check it next time.
Also I'm during optimization with V15 since yesterday on top of that four platfoms on, it maybe cose this connection fall down with broker.

OK, I see a lot of broker differences here.

It seems to me that the EA has proved to be profitable on Geoff's Alpari demo account, and that kind of acts as the benchmark here, I think. So, is it possible to have a trade placed on a live account when a trade is entered by an ea on a demo?

Eg, place the Tokyo EA on an Alpari demo account, and have another (ea, I guess) monitor the situation, then mirror the trade live. Of course, the fill would inevitably be different, and we would lose a pip or two per trade, but it might work out best in the end...

any thoughts?

Actually the demo account report in my signature has missed 3 winning trades that
were taken by my Alpari live account and the losing trade in the report was
not taken by my live account. lol!

So, my live account has done much better than my demo account!

Alpari demo accounts are based on Alpari "Pro" accounts which are ECN whereas
their "Classic" accounts are heavily smoothed.

hello geoff... i'am sorry for a question but ... I have installated a new version of V15 ... but if i set one of present (tokio 1 o 2 o 3) or i not set present the tokio open time is different ... it's normal??

Do you currently use on your live acc, SimpleH1 GBPUSD EAv7-303?
If yes what is different between latest version EAv9 or latest version of Tokyo (I mean 12, 13, 14, 15.), I don't mean about cosmetics.
I know there were " some" re-writings".

...if it is curious question, ignore it please and just give me a time .

This is ok, I left the default in the code set to 1 but changed it in the preset
files to 2 which is correct for Alpari UK time.

The basic algorithm to determine when to trade is the same for all versions
since v7, there have been no changes to this, the only changes are in the
reliability and safety of the way orders are produced plus the cosmetic
improvements in the way the details are shown on the chart.

that is sad to hear but on the other side there were loads of tests published in this thread (some of which I actually did myself) which proofed that this ea is absolutely not made for EURUSD.

Apart from that I think that all of us agreed to follow the wish of the creator of this thread to not post off-topic issues.

I know that in quiet times it is difficult to concentrate and stick to the rules but nothing else will help us in further developing this sensational ea.

Thanks for the details. Some time back Geoff released the EA for EU which the current version is 5. We have been using this for long time and got many profit trades.
Last two time it failed...

Hi Geoff and Piptician,
I still get the same error for version 15 also. no trades initiated from Axis with version 15. but got two trades from V9 ( I am still using it as none of the Tokyo version worked for me AXISODL). Both got profit first one with TP and second hit the TSL.

My three winners on FXDD live were +22, +30, +12. I had changed the TP as 50 and 80 looked too hard to attain. Had wrong Time Frame on ATC so no trades.

I don't believe I released v5 for use with EURUSD, others may have used that
version to test other pairs because it was easy to change various parameters
and lent itself to testing different ideas.

I would go so far as to say that this strategy will not work on any other pair
than GBPUSD, certainly my limited testing would support this view however,
you have had some success with it so I must bow to your experience!

My view is supported by the fact that the settings are optimised for GBPUSD
so it is doubtful that they would work with any other pair without re-optimisation.

I am not knocking your willingness to try other pairs, you have had some success
so, who am I to tell you what to do, I just wanted to put the record straight
that I did not release v5 for use with EURUSD.

I think that I have to take the blame for that release Geoff. It was early days of the thread and we were somehow a small community in comparison to now. Off topic was not an issue at that time but I did not follow up on it as I had some nasty live trading experiences back in May which drew my attention away from the original purpose of the ea and this is to trade GBPUSD in the most successful way.

I was fortunate and it worked tonight for me, but I think it made me about 20 bucks.. haha..

EDIT: I guess on most nights, it will only run to around that range anyways, but why cut yourself short if there is a big move? TSL not working as well then use MPTM.
It is a hugh R/R. but I am not going to let it run 140 pips against me on a live trade. I am lucky that the trades open at a time for me when I can monitor them closely. It is working well so far.

Dear Geoff.

As Velli, I was also over excited some time ego with your , I agree, really great EA. CamV5, which I backtestet on other pairs with pretty nice results.
When I expressed my great feelings on this thread (to be honest by mistake, because the Camv5 was referred to Simple3 ...thread ) Mr Sky.. ridiculously bring me down calling me ..well, forget, I'm not angry with it.
Unfortunately in the same time my fx-angine was broken down.
Now I've got my staff on track and I'm back to optimization Camv5 EA which I believe has got great potential on other TF with different pairs.
That's my point of view about Camv5 and Tokyo even only for GBPUSD .

However, we need always somebody to wake us up and keep on correct way.

So, great thanks to You Geaff, Piptician and of course Sky.

Greed...no, it's the exact opposite, I don't want to hang on for the last pip. In and out..I don't even look back to see what I missed by getting out early. But, I am not going to allow myself to lose the full $8400.

I have Bernard Baruch's philosophy: I don't want to predict the top or the bottom, I just want 1/3 of that in-between, but I want it over and over again.
