u must try to look up other indicators, chart patterns, support and resistance, candlesticks , current market sentiments , economic conditions etc to get a holistic picture before u 'guess' where the price is likely to go . after all these analysis, u can still go wrong with the direction u have anticipated. or u could be very lucky with just one indicator and the price go ur way . its all a game of probability.

of course, u would have known this by now , but...

there is no fundamental for now that can make this pair reverse. the US show many bad economic number. the only good number is a unemployment rate. i hope this can bring many good effect to other economic indicator. and reverse this pair trend.
There is some fundamental evidence that the pair could head up or at least, be stablized in this area over the short term. Last week the ECB infused greece with a 111 billion dollar injection to help stabilize their condition. And this is just the first of many to come and be available for italy and spain as well.

rsi is over buy but it can stay that way in this case its a buy sign

the jpy is stronge (so the usd/jpy is weak)
R/S below strong points
RSI. well down
EMAs well down angle and stacked
all very very clear

The unemployment figure is a false number. It declined because a lot of people "gave up."

I believe the number was 650,000.

Another important item was the loss of some 22,500 construction jobs.

Let's just say, my country (US) isn't go anywhere fast. It will take intervention to bring this one around.
Only expectation matters . . .
The charts look like they are about to fall off the map into oblivion, everyone sees this.

If you were going to try to intervene, would you wait for the momentum to build south?

On the 1 hour chart, where would you figure orders to sell are sitting? and where would those new stops be piling up? How could you trigger them and how would you use this to try to put in a intermediate bottom?

It looks like all the support is in the 86.90ish area. What I want to know is if the Euro gains, at least for now, against the Yen, does that reduce pressure on the BoJ to act on the USD rate?

nice info. and if this true than it really bad for USD. i'm affraid this pair will stay at his level as his new normal level. but still hoping for this pair to go north.... let see a few week a head...

maybe i may agree with this in the current context ... since the yen is proxy for yuan ... an appreciation of yuan means strenghtening of yen ... hence this new level ...: yuan up .. yen up .. usd down ..

... may tip the charts downwards in the near term before finding a stable level
I just look that the pairs was break down the level and should be bearish now?

During this period that the USD has remained below 90 yen (more than 30 ~ 40 days), Japan has lost much of its profits from its export capacity, many Japanese companies have already shown signs of fatigue from excessive appreciation of the yen, the attention now are the elections on July 11, many expect that after the elections we will be surprised with some assistance from the Japanese government (PM Naoto Kan) in the currency market. The appreciation of the yen is being monitored closely by Japanese politicians, as always already sent notices to the markets and merchants. We will monitor the steps of the BoJ throughout this month.
