EJ Short Trade Initated:

Entered on pullup to SonicR EP. FE study puts 200% level just below whole number. Central pivot is just above whole number. So 109.00 whole number is TP. SL is mental since it is NFP morning....possible whipsawing!

Well, the market has spoken. The EU and EJ bulls had the wind behind them yesterday and today, and they have taken full advantage.

Next week......humpty dumpty has a great fall. I suspect the flat PA for the rest of the day will be contributed to by their gradual off loading of longs and switching to shorts.....Black OPs maneuver before they put on their Bear outfits and charge out next week.

Just examine the placement of the vLines (vertical time lines) on your chart and on my chart. It is plain that your vLines do not cross PA where mine do. It is clear that yours are placed one hour too soon.

Open the External Inputs window for the Market Panel Display Controller indicator. Six inputs down you will find "MktOpen_vLines_Server_GMT_Shift = 3", or some other number. Whatever that number is, it seems to be one integer (representing 1 hour) too small. It looks like you need to increase that input by one more integer (example: if "3", then change it to "4"). By increasing that input by one, the vLines should shift to the right by one hour, and be then properly placed.

Once you've done this, then check your "L" vline placement using the clock panel. When the clock says it is 8:00 London (8 am local London time) the current chart candle should be on that vLine!

Proposed change to convention for colors of EP, TP, and SL:

NOW,

White chart - EP= black, TP= blue, SL= red
Black chart - EP=white, TP= blue, SL= red

PROPOSED,

White chart - EP= green/red, TP= blue, SL= black
Black chart - EP= green/red, TP= blue, SL= white

Attached charts show these conventions (white versions), current for long and short trades (charts 1 and 2), and proposed for long and short trades (charts 3 and 4).

I propose the convention change because it provides faster visual recognition of the trade direction.

I would appreciate feedback from Sonicdeejay, and all.

It might be wise to be cautious regarding any upside move from here.

The attached M15 shows last Thursday the PA was sent upwards on high activity. On Friday the NY Open traders quickly "topped" the PA. This was followed by concentrated above average trading....at the highs!!!!

We are talking trade counts. There is no telling how large those trades were. So it is entirely possible there were huge sell/short orders previously put up there. When the price was driven up, they got filled.

Now this is speculation, sure. But a very real possibility. And if it is the case, further upside may be contrary to the new 'play' by the prof. traders....a Head Fake maybe.

So, I label all this.....WARNING: Speculation!

Today is a US bank holiday. Things may be slow. Sure, the London Open traders tend to move the market, but they also tend to be less active when there is a US Holdiay. Besides, it is the first session of the week, and it very much looks like everyone shot the works on Friday.

Let the market decide.

Yes, DanPa, and it is better than either the current or proposed because it is the same for both white and black charts and still only uses three colors.

I'll vote for it!

EU Watch:

H4 shows the strong resistance level PA has failed at. If PA does not go back up to test it, then expect today a pullback possibly to the FR 38% or 50% levels (blue lines)....that is if we have any activity today!

M15 with GMT daily pivots shows MS2 and MS3 align within half dozen or so pips of the two levels on the H4 chart. You can try the GMT Fibonacci pivots and get similar results. These two levels would be my targets for a short trade.

I like your idea TAH, but I would like to stay with old properties. Because I don't think it's that hard to recognize if red line is below the black/white line, it's a long setup. And I'm sure we'll have problems explaining it to newbies, because many of them read the beginning of the thread and then jump to the end (maybe while reading the rest ...) and they will not see this announcement about the change of color lines.

I believe it's better to stick to old colors.

Anyway, I'll do what majority of sonicers decide ...
