yeah i dont think its that bad. only missed out by -24k but the unemployement rate dropped by .3% multiply that by the population of USA and thats surly better than -24k jobs???

anyway how is it that the economy lost 124k in jobs but the unemployment rate drops??? surely its the other way round?? maybe its not filtered through yet as the jobs created last 2 months was loads..

Dont sell yet. You have 40 more pips to go. Sell at 1.2620
Ride the 100 pip drop from there and close or play the gap down another 100 pips on Monday. This has zero to do with NFP and was set up before the drop last week to 1.2151. No charts. Look at any you will see it.

I may regret this, but cashed in my longs. Will look to re-enter on retracement...... if we get one.

Still targeting 134 longer term.

Look at hourly earnings. -.1 vice expected +.1; deflationary.
There are a lot of job losses in the public sector coming as states and municipalities reduce headcount to try to balance their budgets. So things are getting worse, not better.

I closed out my oil shorts for a small profit. Market's too jumpy. I'll sit on the sidelines.

The problem with the numbers is that none of them are real.

Every department is trying to manipulate them to make them seem better than they are, they just do not all manipulate them the same way and do not speak to each other.

If the truth were told, NFP is worse but unemployment is getting worse every month and the only real reason why there was any improvement were temporary government jobs which are ending.

also closed half of my longs yesterday at 1.252 keeping the rest with a trailing st 35 pips... i suppose we will not touch 1.22 today as some people said around here

The week has past, and so have my 3 previous scenarios. However, the only variant from the previous 3 scenarios, is the time lime. (See previous post). Chart is still valid in my opinion, long @ 2287 till 2550 profit locked in at plus 50, pending sell @ 2550, sl 2650 tp 1900. Same chart as last...

Yes, but the market tends to focus heavily on the private jobs part of the report, not the public---especially because this is a Census year.

Not saying it's all roses, just looking at what the market looks at, expects and reacts to. And that's why we're not see a 200 pip move in minutes.
