The EUR will almost certainly be moving higher; those were bad numbers. Ignore the 9.5%; too many are dropping out of the labor force.

Now, if crude keeps dropping, I'll be a happy camper. ... and I know it's illogical to see crude prices drop while the USD is dropping, but that should give everyone an idea of the forces in play here. Crude's down 75 cents right now. And gold's also down.

NFP kind of mixed. Wonder how much steam there is behind the upward engine.

Yeah, but private jobs (what matters) was up from last month and closer to what the market wanted to see.

Bad report, but could of been worse and market was expecting it.

As said before...

Good chance the 9.5% rate is due to people dropping out of the labour force

(i.e. exhausted unemployment benefits, stopped looking, retired early, fled to Canada).

The unemployment rate is more for the politicians to harp on about... NFP numbers (and this time round, private payrolls) more important...
