I'm very bearish on the EUR, but stepped back while watching action yesterday. I've seen this before. Hedge funds and the big boys behind the curtain are delevering; taking down risk. That's why you're seeing the stock market decline; the big boys are selling.
One of the hot plays this year has been to short EUR and go long gold. Well, look at the action in both of them right now.
I'm currently short oil futures because that's another commodity that's got way too much net speculative positions that are being taken down.

Look for a violent move after the unemployment numbers. If they're bad, I expect the EUR to continue to move higher. Possibly another violent up day.
A good jobs number will probably keep the EUR from moving too much higher.
- I realize that this opposite of the 'normal' pattern as of late, but beware.
I noticed this a couple of nights ago and posted about it.

My best advice to everyone is to trade small right now; cut down your leverage.

Sounds good to me.

Right now I have an underwater short and I think a long would be a good thing to keep it company. Luckily the broker allows hedging.

Funnily enough I too have noticed this.
Im expecting this to go down, but im not putting my money on it till after the spike.

Even if the report is bad I still think that it will go down as its most likely already priced in. I think only a terrible report will make the spike go up!

Either way my strategy will still be to buy on support!!!

as NFB is expected to be around -100K, so this wd be one more bad news for usd. EURzone is perceived to take some corrective action. hence this shd drive up eurusd
