Just downloaded. It's good! Very informative!

Feck that hurt, SL hit

Weekly chart is a very strong indication of what GBPUSD is doing. Still look bullish on weekly chart. Long trade was in line with longer time frame. Maybe just luck? Two more days to close of the week. We shall see.


Maybe should we have time close function to minimise loss?

Yeah, interesting to know how many trades within 1 year actually

stays open longer than 24 hours..

According to my publisher, all trades were closed average under five hours. I think most of us should get that kind of figure.

With the exception of the one from June 29th...

I think I remember seeing some trades go a couple of days in my Tokyo backtesting, over rockier terrain than what we just covered, so I still had hope when we hit support 2 PIPS above S/L.

Also interesting to note that 2 of my 3 my FXDD Demo accounts that traded never hit T/P 1, while all 3 of my ATC demo accounts hit TP 1.

In this case, the tighter spread made the difference between tidy profit & large loss.

I have been caught out by "black holes" appearing in my data too. I think the next version of Tokyo needs a "black hole" detector! Should be easy enough to add one

C'mon Guys, as hard as it is to take the hit (and believe me at 2.5 lots it has hit me hard) you gotta believe in the integrity of this EA which will in all probablilty pull all those pips back and then some (BTW, am still +205 pips for the month, so down but not out!)

You can lower you TSL in that case.. I never use 22 TSL..

I see you trading live from day 1? Risky man.. I feel much safer

either trade EA calls manually or just don't take a trades when they look wrong and bailout early. EA always fail in the long run..

Don't count too much on back testing.. Hope this one will work forever though

Be careful when trying to show higher time frame SMAs on lower time frame charts. I'm afraid an H1 10 SMA is only approximately equal to an M5 120 SMA. You can check this out by looking at the current value for each of these SMAs on your H1 and M5 charts.

If you want proof then here's the maths (UK) or math (US):

Say there are 12 M5 bars with closing prices 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11 and 12. The average of these is (1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8+9+10+11+12)/12 = 6.5. The equivalent M15 bars will have closing prices 3, 6, 9 and 12 with an average of (3+6+9+12)/4 = 7.5.

You are right, Mathematician. I had wanted to highlight that they are only an approximate of the actual SMA on the 1H but you got to it first

I'll let you figure out the maths/math in the case where exponential moving averages are used

If Tokyo is running on an M5 chart it may be beneficial if it added dots every hour to show where the H1 SMAs actually were.

Adding some kind of SMA of the 1H on the M5 would be great but will it shows the value of SMA or just a visual dot?
