Personally, I would recommend putting into practice any advice dispensed in Final Exit (those of you interested can PM me your address and I will personally buy you a copy). If you survive that, you're lucky.

Personally I wouldn't be suprised to see 1.2 later, but I really don't care whether we do or we dont. As you said, trust your own analysis, for better or worse, because only you know your trading style. Phuck the analysts, and everyone else for that matter.....you're the one trading your account.

tonight i looked through weekly charts carefully.

the dollar is mixed: it's third in the list of the five strongest currencies.

yen is #1 -- the strongest currency

swiss franc is second strongest.

dollar is the middle.

pound is weaker to the others except for euro.

euro is weak to everything.

the dollar index is high because the euro makes up the largest part of the index, based on a basket of six other currencies.

what's striking is the historic levels we're at now: dollar at very near historic lows to yen; the euro is at historic lows to yen, the pound not far behind.

dollar is near historic lows to yen, also while dollar is at historic highs to the euro.

so the question becomes: does a trader stay with the trends and, for example, continue to short euro-yen, going in short at historic lows? or, does a trader play the contrarian side and work off of corrections in the short-term -- inward swings toward the zero? -- and profit when this mega-trend of yen strength reverses?

as long as the global economic issues are dire, the yen will be the place of security for money. the currency dynamics, the rankings, are not much likely to be changing yet.

Yeah man, make sure your trading your own plan. If you're listening to analysts make sure they are giving reasoning for their sentiment and then research their reasoning and make sure you agree with it. Your only friend in this game is yourself. Most analysts are full of shit.

We were long yesterday from 1.2182 and unwinded at 1.22025 yesterday. Later during European afternoon (End of London Session) we were long again from trough 1.2155 until 1.2198 and 1.22085.

And now we were short since 1.22372 - and we unwinded just now 92 % of our ENTRIES at 1.22199. Und so weiter und so fort...
