The MS1 proximity should not be the reason why the trade was not taken I guess, cause it is more than 10 pips away at the time of your yellow vertical line. What do you think ?

Sry, the line was suppose to isolate the last two candles (not identify the third candle as entry)

If the distance was measured of the wicks, then any of the last two candles should have triggered the trade. I increased the MINlevelDistance to 50 no trades thus far, tho other systems have taken trades. I'll let it run till 12pm EST and provide feedback.

I follow for a long time the evolution of the EA and I think that indeed he has reached the version that works: then a rightful thanks to all those that are occupied of the development and of the improvement of the EA, first between all Xux99 and Tread.

But now, apart the demand to individualize the best set among the thousand of possible options, there is an one problem, already signalled by others, and that is given by the fact that the EA hocks the CPU of the computer in thick way.
Me, also using a quad core, with 4 MB of memory, do I already have great difficulties in the moment that I attach above the EA more than 4 graphs (even if, does it seem, that with the MT4, the computer is not able to use all and four the core!?).
I have also noticed to the respect the suggestions proposed for decreasing the appointment of the CPU (not to use the indicator Gartley, to modify some parameters of other indicators, etc..) but the problem remains.

Then my question is very simple and obviously comes from one that doesn't have a lot of technical competence in subject: to be able to make to turn the height EA regime, without limitations of sort and on all the cross that profits will be revealed, which computer is it better to use? does it have to have a memory ampler possible? don't seem me! does it have to have a processor with more cores? I don't believe! does it have to have a processor of the type i7 or i5 with an elevated frequency? I would not know!

I would appreciate a lot of therefore if someone on the forum were able to give some suitable suggestion.

I got a couple of other wrong signals but...are they so wrong ?
Does the logic include the spread in its calculation re S/R and pivots distance to PA ?
As an example I just got a buy signal on EURJPY, which I consider wrong BUT

The buy is at 110.80, actually 100.76 + .04 for the spread.
The R1 line is at 110.89, so with the 10 pips "protection" the trade should'nt have been trigerred if 110.80 is the price taken for the calculation (R1 is 9 pips away her so < 10), but if 110.76 is the price used then R1 is 13 pips away, so the trade should take place.
So, the whole (at least the first) question is :

Is the spread taken into account to evaluate the distance between Price and S/R or pivots levels meaning ask price for a buy and bid price for a sell ?

The objective is to annihilate the DD
I set the parameters to work with M5 while some indicators working with M15.
The backtesting was performed on M5 TF, on a separate MT4 platform and reliable historical data as explained by 'friend DL4HAO.
That in order to get 90% of render quality.

I have to say, your take on the settings is truly unique, especially with the posted results, I am running it on a backtest now.

Off the bat, your money management is very aggressive.
1.) No Stop Loss - ideally between 15 - 30
2.) The only indicator exit is the iMaxx on the 15M
3.) Leverage percentage is 30% - Typical is 2% - 4%, but this is based on trader taste for risk.
4.) Also i noticed that your are trading in full lots from 1.5 - 3.4. - I would have gone the other way at mini lots (0.1) and build up to larger lots as the account grew.The set file had minilots, but your detailed reports has full lots. Please confirm that the right set file was attached.

You need to balance the protection of your capital against the risk/reward. there is no exact formula but this is based on personal taste.

Would you have an indicator which I could load and attach to the chart and the message would not shift with price - Would stay in position like the THV info panel but I can add a message to it or a reminder. no alarm on it required

NOt sure if there is such an indicator. But I do a lot of testing and like to leave notes on each chart that I am working on. So I use the Text Label feature. Works great for small notes.

I have used it before but when today's price move off screen so does the Text note.

@Charlie59 - yes I agree - sometimes it seems to me, that I put in the parameters right - but the behaviour of the EA after that is quite another one then expected ?

Use the button "T" not the button "A" ... this allows you specific the exact position on the screen;

Hi tread - do you have any idea how to "teach" the EA to do the following:
After getting the first (!) exit signal from any parameter changing (usually it will be an indi, which is changing into the opposite colour .. or what else you can choose for exit - we have a lot of possibilities for exit signals ...) - SO: the EA must close only (!) a part of the position AND at the same time (after partial close) he moves the SL to BE ? So far I have only a fully close after getting the choosen exit signal ?


Which parameter set is right for this EA work ? Attached is my set file.

Setting the BreakEvenPartialClose = 1 - once the first partial lot is closed, the SL is move to the BE

I looked at your set file, i saw that you had Partial Take Profit (PTP) at 30/80/100. My understanding is that the percentages are supposed to be applied to the original order lot.

So using 10 lots as an example, your settings would yeild:-

PTP1 = 3 lots
PTP2 = 8 lots
PTP3 = invalid since 10lots have already been taken and order closed

What i think you are trying to accomplish is

PTP1 = 3lots (30%) - 30% of lots taken
PTP2 = 5lots (50%) - 80% of lots taken at this stage
PTP3 = 2lots (20%) - 100% taken

So you would have to set it as 30/50/20

Hi tread - thanks for your quick answer ! As you see in the attached setfile above - the "BreakEvenPartialClose" is already set to 1 ! Yes I'll change the PTP1,2,3 to 30/50/20 - ok ... but the main problem actually is: using this set file attached there is (so far) only fully close of the hole position ! Can't get partial close - and so of corse I can't see any moving to BE once the postion is closed completly.

It seems to me only fully understanding of the (opened, decompiled) code in detail could help to follow the ways of thinking of this EA - just like of any other EA.

I see that you are using microlots, does your broker support this? I know that FXCM does not while FXDD does (on the mt4 platform) i usually run into this problem (partial orders not working on FXCM for micro)

Could you post the log (journal) & screen shot of the trade?

I will have to work on setting ..
iMax in set 51 is only for the entry. (100M15)
What I really want, with other set, is that THV open and close many more transactions with smaller profits and little risk but should come exit as soon as the trend changes.
I tried many settings with SL. Even with SL type = 1 (ATR) but the chart is never profitable.
I think that the only way is manual operation (see Cavemanager 1.41) or Entry when the indicators give a consistent signal and exit when the trend changes
