DislikedNot sure if anyone has run any backtests on tick data in this thread yet (at least I haven't noticed if so).
So figured i'd run the latest on my dukascopy tick data for you guys.
Since there was question about the fast ma, I ran both for all 3 set files.
Do with what you wish, but I do notice the curve is nowhere near as nice as the one shown on post 1Ignored
DislikedSo far geoff has done a pretty good job optimizing the tp's, ts and sl for the 12 month period.
Still playing with it and will share what I come up with, as it's not quite as straight line up with accurate tick data as it is in his backtest. Will see if I can't make it a little betterIgnored
Dislikedso, here it is an alternative version of the Geoff's "The Great" ea
things which was kept from the original version:
-- 2 orders, first closes by tp, second goes to b/e
-- open positions based on SMA10, SMA 197, M15 and M5 fractals, also possible to setup a different bar number for a fractal to be considered "locked"
additions:

DislikedAt the specified starting time, the EA determines whether to have trade or not for the day. If EA says Yes, then it will look for agreement in Fractals (an indicator that can shown from your MT4 under Indicators) in M5 and M15 for entry. So, it is not necessary that the EA will start from the specified starting time. It is just waiting for the right entry point, as thought by the EA. Well, we cannot say the EA is right or wrong, it's just the beahaviour of the EA. I think that's the basic rights of the EA. Don't you think?
Cheers.
