Just one carrier group? I don't think that's enough firepower except maybe for a strike force. It's enough to destroy nuke reactor plants but not an invasion of a country. If you see 5 carriers then worry, imo.

Indeed, the first two scalps I made today were losses, but this third short I've got from 2431 is balancing out my loss I made earlier *Phew*

SINGAPORE (Dow Jones)--Following are expected trading ranges and outlooks for nine major currency pairs today:


EUR/USD - to consolidate with bullish bias. Pair underpinned by China's announcement allowing more CNY flexibility, weak USD sentiment, EUR demand for long-EUR carry trades on better risk appetite, easing concerns that euro-zone sovereign debt crisis would infect region's financial system after plans by EU to publish bank stress tests by late July; higher-than-expected German May producer prices (up 0.3% on month vs +0.1% forecast). But EUR/USD gains tempered by EUR sales on falling EUR/CHF cross. EUR/USD daily chart positive-biased as MACD & stochastics bullish, although latter at overbought. Resistance at 1.2490 (this morning's high); breach would expose upside to 1.2597 (hourly chart), then 1.2672 (May 21 reaction high) and 1.2740 (55-day moving average). Support at 1.2351 (Friday's low); breach would expose downside to 1.2241 (Thursday's low), then 1.2163 (Tuesday's low), 1.2043 (June 11 low) and 1.1954 (June 10 low).

If i was on someone's $hit list with a small to non-existent navy, that'd be plenty enough to get my attention...

Besides, i doubt "invasion" is on anybodies minds atm... leave a couple smoking holes in the right places here and there maybe...

I cannot see much downside pressure at the moment - and I think during the Asian Session we could be happy if 1.2395 - 1.2380 might be given as a nice dip maximum. This could be seen as firm support at first - for further upside attempts towards the higher levels that we were expecting as "immediate range" 1.2440/ 45 or even above that up to 1.2455 or 1.2472 - 1.2488 area.

But as long as 1.2488 should be capped for now (looks likely atm) there could be seen a development lower again, down towards 1.2363 or below 1.2346 later then.
