Hi Geoff,

May I know if the function of ECN setting is hiding the SL and TP from the broker? I am little bit worried about this...

Hi Raymond

The EA only looks for trades during the 23:00 GMT 1 hour bar, that is the hour before Tokyo opens.

In answer to your earlier post, in Tokyo v11 there is no "Hide_Target" option, SL and TP data
are sent to the brokers server at the time of the order, this is safer than relying on the EA
to monitor SL & TP, if you go off-line only the trailing stoploss is effected.

It is very slow through the Asian session so it's better to sleep through it!

The EA only looks for trades for the hour before Tokyo opens, that is during
23:00 GMT, if it has not placed a trade by 0:00 GMT, it will not place one at all.

It is worth mentioning that, although the Asian session appears to be "slow" compared
with the London and NY sessions, this is part of the reason for the success of this EA!

one point remains to be explained if you don't mind, is why there is varied execution times depends on the day. sometimes orders are placed right after 23:00 but sometimes 30 min later like today (35 min ish). is the logic such that the EA waits the short sma to match direction with long sma and trigger?

i can't read the code so ask this question, and it is purely out of my curiosity, and nothing else.

The 10 SMA and 197 SMA only give the EA the slope direction, it then uses a combination of
M15 and M5 fractals to decide when to trade!

The ECN setting does not hide SL & TP from the broker.

ECN requires an order be placed without SL & TP data then modified in a second

am aware there are two schools of thoughts. but while the account size and trade volumes are small, i think brokers wouldn't care less.

my 2 cents is to just trade the EA as designed. so far none has reported negative incidence, if i remember correctly.

more important is one becomes confident with the EA and rely on it fully imho. after 3 weeks of demo trade, am becoming very positive about the concept, logic and outcome, thanks to geoff.

Its verified TSL on Tokyo V11 doesnt work on my IBFX Live account. SL were not modified during last night. thats why I reached 2 TPs and the third I close manualy for 50 pips. Which is good but it was a lucky day...

You need to check the MT4 journal to see if any errors are reported at the relevent time.

However, I should point out that this EA is designed to operate on GBPUSD H1 only and
we cannot support any other pairs or time-frames on this thread, it is just too much for
myself and piptician to cope with!
