This looks like it will move down. How far remains to be seen. I am viewing a downward move only as a preparation move for a better run up later. But, it could turn out to be a more substantial short trade. Maybe the profs will drive it down and keep it down to close the week there, position building. The move up then, would not happen until next week.

Hello,

One simple question for everybody.

Does anybody trade with USD/CHF and CHF/JPY pairs? Or, is it not recommended to trade with these pairs?

Hi J,

Waves & S&R works in every pairs, gold, oil, gas, CFDs, etc. So you can trade them everywhere. And because SonicR based on these concepts, you can trade it anywhere you like.

I don't trade those pairs because E/U moves similar to U/C, but with more liquidity, lower spread, better access to news, so I rather trade E/U instead of U/C. and same goes with C/J. I'm trading 4 pairs right now (I was trading 10 pairs some day. but now I rather trade 4!) :
EUR/USD
GBP/USD
USD/JPY
EUR/JPY
And that's enough for me

1.2400 was a very powerful monthly resistance, and price respected it three times. I'll add if price break the previous low (enter at 1.2358). 1% risk on every entry.

As far as the Levels x8 indicator is concerned, it puts the psycological price levels on the chart as a background, for those that do not want to mess with pivots. But you can use pivots with this background, or not use this background indicator at all, if you like. Some find that the Levels x8 indy helps them see S&R levels more easily, some do not.
why psychological hurdles exist just in these levels?

Besides, I believe it's a very good place for a retrace regarding the daily chart :
That's why I like to add to this position, but because it's CT trade, I'll risk only 1% on every trade.

It is not that the pairs are not recommend...
Many of us are not used to in trading the pairs..

EU Watch, Short Trade Update:

The targets are lowered. But activity is off. This is Friday. Might we still get a last minute downdraft? Or is this going to die on the vine?

If we do get a move below the half number, then it opens another question. See H4. Would then the price be flirting with a trend reversal to down, or would it just be a 'head fake' down? For that, we'd have to wait and see next week.

And all this has me thinking that if PA goes nowhere today, but closes near the half number, then there could be a gap opening next week...scarey if the position is held and the gap is the wrong way! So, I think I will close the trade before today ends.

I have no idea. Maybe a psycologist could answer that. But knowing 'why' or not knowing 'why' does not change the fact that we can use such behavior to our advantage. Look at current EU PA.....right on one of those levels, and with PA overall being sandwiched between the whole number above and the half number below.

Don't look for constant 'exactness' when using such levels. But they are good enough overall to trade off of successfully. People looking for 'exactness' often think of pivots, sometimes forgetting PA frequenly undershoots or overshoots targets anyway. So, it is problably best to not look for 'exactness' regarding PA targets. Take a chunk out of a move....and Levels x8 is great for that.

Greetings all... I'm new to this thread and I got to say that it looks really impressive. Very big thanks to Sonic for sharing this method and other fellow traders for contributing to this thread.

Just a brief introduction about myself, I have been trading live for over 2 years now and having great success trading the 4hr and 1hr TF. I trade the pullbacks in a trend using few EMAs + price action. But trading the 1h and 4h tf tends to be a little boring sometimes.. longer time to wait for a nice setup, bigger SL hence bigger TP, hence longer time to reach TP .....

That's why i bumped into this thread, a thread which is already 1 year plus old and still very much alive, with great pips as well 1 thing i like about Sonic's method is that it applies around the same methology of my 1h and 4h methods.

I will start trading with this method live when the week starts. Hopefully I can contribute to the thread as well...

P/S: Sonic i saw the recent chart that you've posted, there are no more QQE and CCi on the charts, are these 2 indicators no more applicable to your trading? Besides that, can you please share which indicator you using for plotting the pivots and SR... thank you in advance...

I have been reading this thread for days now and am very impressed. Still have over half the pages to read, but have just entered my first Sonic trade and am in the money already. Thanks guys !

EU Watch:

There is some very interesitng PA/NVO action going on! Overall price has been going higher. Yet on the M15 chart (first chart) we can see recently the highest trading has been either at the highs, or on runs off the highs (see grayed NVO). Not only that, but look at the NVO in yellow, on the red line......relatively no increased trader interest at all, but look at the price bump!!!!!!!!

My reaction to all this is the profs are sandbagging for a run down; gradually moving the price higher as they go, gapping up the price, and even quickly bumping the price higher when it may cost them little to do so during a period of low activity. These moves for higher prices help them build better short positions. BTW, the gap up was to the FR 27% extension level. A good place for a reversal (second chart). But if this is slated to drop, the euro traders may first want their opportunity to short up there also.

WARNING: Speculation!

The first session of the week, more often than not, is not the best session for trading. I can hear Sonicdeejay saying, "Wait. Let the market decide."

(For the life of me, I cannot understand why the world gives a friggin poop about the yuan. The chinese communist party manipulates its value relative to other currencies without regard for anything but their own objectives. Just like they make crap, dump it all over the world, and give a rats ass about quality. This past week I bought (and broke) two "made in china" garden tools! Fortunately, I have a 50 year old "made in USA" tool to fall back on! And gee, I never knew stainless steel could rust....not until I bought a stainless steel BBQ made.....you guessed it......in friggin' china! Thank God my house doesn't contain any of their poisonous drywall! I will never again, knowingly buy another product made in china....not if I can avoid doing so. As far as I'm concerned, the yuan is overvalued communist crap, just like so many other things made in china these days.)
