It would need to stay flat like this for an even longer period if I wanted to consider this a real consolidation phase (that would qualify as another retracement). Don't you consider a 40 pips pullback a retracement ?

yes,i want it too,i thought it may touch 2200 1H channel low or at least 2245-50 area 15M ltl,but this weekly resistance (now support) @2314 seems to be hard to knock out

I have learned to not put too much weight in what happens during the Asian session. Trading is quite a bit thinner compared to what happens when London fires up!

I'm torn on this one. I am absolutely convinced it is going to go back south with a vengence. The trick is figuring out when that will be. I don't think this bull has run out of steam just yet. Not till 2400 or 2500.

Asian session sucks. It's where I make most of my mistakes.

Think is was my last session. I do better with NY/London.
Only expectation matters . . .

Agreed, I think we might also see 2400 before it drops again. but 12345 would trigger a good short sell.

Not enough momentum to break through the cloud right now...

Tonight's session will tell the tale likely of volatility expansion, or whether the move runs out of steam in the next couple of sessions - the former seems far more likely though both outcomes are possible. If it is volatility expansion to the upside, what you propose would be like jumping into the path during the running of the bulls, expecting the herd to run the other way. Not a particularly wise strategy. Best to wait for the bulls to start running the other way on their own.

I have a 61.8 fib at 2367 that I think has to be touched before the turn down. I haven't heard anyone saying the same thing, but if it isn't so, I'd like to learn why.

Well it makes sense, you are trading EUR and USD ... so why would Asian session have any dramatic effect on it lol for Asian session volatility you go to JPY
