the great thing about forex world is about how we can take an advantage in whatever condition bullish or bearish... it's about strategy, even if this pair is bearish there is a hole where we can take advantage by taking long. or when this pair is is bullish trend there is a hole where we can take an advantage by taking short...... i hope i can take that kind of advantage. it really hard, it need passion, it need money management, it need risk management. and i believe profitable trader expert about this...... i hope i can learn this kind of trading here in this thread.

Right there Mary, is why you must make your own analysis and not rely on others. For evey poster, me included, that says the dollar will rise, you'll find another who says it will fall.

I don't pay too much to the fundamentals, everything you need is right there in your chart. Of course, high impact news like NFP etc can throw the charts out of sync temporarily, but for the most part, you need look no further than the chart right in front of you.

Whether the dollar goes up or down, I don't care. I'll trade it either way!

When you enter a trade do enter w/ a straddle, taking both a L and S on the pair? Sounds enteresting but I can't do that w/ my broker.

No, I don't do that. My broker allows it but I honestly don't see the point. I know that people who do can justify their method, but I have never seen the pont to it.....at least for my trading style anyway

Basis @ 91.72.

Have taken a small 24 PIP realized loss on this trade so far.

My friends, I am seriously worried!
I live in Japan, and unfortunately some rumors that the beginning of the war is likely. The north korea is causing the South Korean country. If something happens in this region of Asia, we are lost. The dollar and the yen will be directly affected, once again the political and economic crisis is near.
Some reports suggest that the crisis not over!

Technicaly N and S Korea are at a state of war.

The UN came out with a report that the North fired and sank a S Korean ship had been sunk.

The cease fire has been broken it is now war.

to Marry and Hound : if the war is happen, how come this war between South and north korea will affect USD. can you explain me about this relation. since i'm an engineer and i really dont know what the relation ship about this two thing.

what i know is US is big customer for automotive and electronic product from south korean. and if this war is happen i believe their sales to US will be interupted. and this will happen to interupt south korean economic also. can you explain me more detail about this... please share your info here... thanks before...

If war begins, the stock exchanges in Asia will be affected by insecurity and instability in the region. The traders of the stock market lost appetite for risk, so the dollar and yen are the currencies of refuge for the security of investment. But last week the dollar fell by the mere fact of saying that North Korea will attack Seoul, South Korea.Japan is a country that wants peace, not go to war over nothing, but we are very close to South Korea and North Korea. The U.S. would use the base in Okinawa, thereby involving the Japanese in this problem. The region is very unstable.

If EMA55 (daily chart) wil be broken, why not go further north to the upper Bollinger Band 92.60
May be a hard way - EMA 10, EMA 50, EMA120 seems to be closely spaced.

92.15 - 90.80 seems to be the favored range (H4 chart) if there won't occurred any breakout.

Don't worry. If there is a war happening which I hope not, Japan won't be affected as long as they don't butt in. The last Korean war in the 1950's, Japan did not get touched much because they sat out. If Japan decides to join in this hypothetical Korean war, then one can't guarantee anything but as long as they don't get involved, they will be fine. So the Yen wont' be affected as much.

US's SOLE target for any wars on the Korean Pennisula is China, not Japan or Korea. In the last Korean war, US ended up attacking China; they weren't interested in Korea, "upholding democracy", "protecting human rights" blah blah blah. Korea is just a pawn being used by the US and I feel bad that Korean still hasn't realized this and still allow themselves to be used by the US; they will be tossed out as soon as their use is done. I just hope US has learned their lesson from attacking China during the last Korean war in the 50's and not make the same mistake again.

I don't think we can read too much into this PA at the moment Mary. I'm staying out of this until this pair can find a direction, and stick to it!
