A fall of 20% in under 6 months is impressive. It dropped like a rock.
Well I see very upmoves along the way. None lasted long, true. But for me I consider them corrections. I guess it depends on your trading style and perspective.

A fall of 20% even in 2 months is not impressive, you have that and even more in all kind of assets. No Big deal. It went up as much as fast. And last year it went up and down almost as much in less than 2 months.

I'm with you here. Going back and looking at a monthly chart is my reasoning, it will be until we get decisively below 2150 on big tf's. If anything holds true about resistance turning into support and vice versa, we should bounce huge at this level. 50 percent all time and we've bounced here on the monthly just about every time we've approached this level throughout history. I'd like to us below 1645 or again above first 2133/50, 2255, 2377, 2621 goes and the bounce is going to be big.
I would say, if you're down to play a range then trade this pair this week but if you want in on a "longer" term move, wait for one of those upper levels to be tested and rejected. The move either way could be huge but way more chance for a 5-600 pip up move imo right now, it would confuse quite a few people I would think.

edit: I'm of a different opinion though on the us stock market. there should imo be a detachment from the us stock market and this pair being so correlated as it has been now for awhile. It maybe a couple of years before the euro gets to parity, .8 etc..the dow will be back @ 6000 imo by early 2011

im not a fan of a blanket statement of higher and higher low (ditto) bs. but if you are its there. there other things to consider that add momentum to this being a trend.
ive studied 1000s of trends and their reversals to date. they are mostly all similar w/o big news involved. a 5 m is not different...

well the 17 to 24 area of S/R is holdng
have some good size tails into that area

of coarse vol is low
but we have breaks in others places ie. aud/usd

looking good for the bears so far..
early in the game


need a break below the 08 before could do anything

EUR-USD trading at 1.2128 at the moment - did not move much within first two hours until Interbank market open - range until now trapped between 1.2111 and 1.2129 (22h55 CET)

Should be propped up at first - highest has been 1.2132 until now

As long as firm above 1.2070 - 1.2041 we could see a zigzag correction towards 1.2149 - 1.2155 at first. Downside correction should be well supported at 1.2041 - 1.2032 for the nearest term (8 - 12 hours) - during Asian session. Only a breach above 1.2163 - 1.2171 would strengthen the upside potential...

u.s. fed will sell held mortgages they hold before then. it will be better the any interest rate hike. euro zone have yet to take hold of mortgages. the banks are broke, so the countries will have to guarantee the defaults. but then the countries are already broke. don't listen to the bs about ez raising. they are 2 years behind the u.s. in this and 20 years behind u.s. in market share loss from asia.. this isnt priced in.. the media dont even talk about it or even have a clue.. the media says what market makers allow.. ez members like Germany thinks it will sell to other members forever. sure they will until wallmart moves in and sell chinese gov. subsidized product for 80% cheaper. good luck with those calling for 1.6... a way of life will meet with modern day reality and rocks will be thrown. wishful thinking has nothing to do with reality. today is the good old days..
