PMFJI, newbie to register here; have been in lurking mode for a while. I started shorting EURUSD last Dec and have done very well, trading in and out of core positions. ... I've been an equities (stocks) trader until now, but the stock market seems to have been trading on fantasy over the last year.

I have been looking at parking my butt on the sidelines after Jimmy Rogers' bullish EUR comments, the German court not stopping German participation in EuroTARP, and the decent bond auctions of several PIIGS this last week.

I have a bit of a short position still on the table but will go into the weekend flat; too much uncertainty at this point.

As for the rest of today's action, I would expect Mich Consumer Sentiment to be lower than forecast, further dragging down US equities. As a result, more flight to safety so I'd expect the USD to strengthen further today.
I expect the Dow to finish down triple digits today as I expect a lot of longside traders (who did well yesterday) take risk off the table going into the weekend.

Keep an eye on business inventories; out 5 min after consumer sentiment. If they rise significantly, the stock market won't like that.

I think so as well. Its broken and maintained a position above the 50% Fibs from the drop from 1-2 hours ago, so a path towards 1.2150 is open, really is pivotal. Freaky Friday..
