I only testrun Tokyo and v9. Yesterday Tokyo went in and v9 not, while today it is vice versa. That is with an Alpari test account.
With Alpari live I am running v7a and v8 which went in yesterday 45 minutes before the rest of the bunch, today both waited 50 minutes.....
I appreciate that Sky is digging deep into how to improve the entry points but I nevertheless think that these kind of echanges, however frustrating they are, somehow give everyone a feel where he stands with his positions. Or am I just stupid?

I agree, we need to compare brokers and as far as improving entry points we need to remember that we are dealing with a EA that is working to a generalised method and we have to take a average approach.
In the event of asking the EA to enter ex pips above or below the current entry point we would need to qualify that on a day to day basis as each day the retraction if any will vary , making it impossible to set a standard amount.
And of course there will be the day when it does not retract and runs right to TP and in that case you will be left with pending orders not filled....
This Ea does all things to all men/woman fine as it is, and as it trade's with the trend it will contuine to operate at a better then averge return ratio..
To me the main concern is the difference with the brokers, maybe we will have to look at limiting it to a few brokers only....( that return the best results).
Watching looking for the move back up so looking for place's to place pending orders...1.4712....looks good at this stage...will wait for the confirmed bounce, I might be able to find a better (lower) entry point.

Was it the "ping" causing the "sleeping" and made the 1st order missing?
Any way to prevent this?

Hello everyone I am still having trouble getting EA to work.
I took all previous version eaa off and im using Tokyo ea.
I have been trading for 3 years now and have never used an EA, so this is new to me.
I have read the whole thread and this is what I am getting in my expert journal after loading ea;

Glenn, what an intriguing answer. Thanks a lot and I fully agree with this in each and every point. Apart from that I am still no further with the addition of a vol indicator into the ea to tweak it into a different direction. But did not forget to work on it and hope to get some results to present here...at some point....
This gives you a sound platform to enter and exit the market...this would be a great addition to MT4, sadly I doubt it would happen as it would require all the brokers to work together..

Would be Intresting to see if you are able to get a volume Indicator to work in Forex as the data is not reliable...I use volume all the time in stocks, I run a " Level 2 platform" were you are able to see the Market makers buy orders on the left ( price and number of shares) and on the right the same Market makers sell price/no shares.
This gives you a sound platform to enter and exit the market...this would be a great addition to MT4, sadly I doubt it would happen as it would require all the brokers to work together..

For foreign exchange options you need to use the slightly changed Garman Kohlhagen model as the Black Scholes formula was originally invented for stocks only. Then you arrive at the specific interest rate differential for the set period of the option instead of the difference between risk free rate of return against dividend. The systematic behind stays the same however.
By taking into consideration the markets sentiment for either stronger or weaker currency you arrive at a vol curve, sometimes called as well the smile, which results in higher option prices for those options of which the market believes that they are more profitable.
By using an indicator like that I hoped to get involved as well the sentiment of the options market as a further safety net (in addition to the sma 10, 197 and fractal entry points).
I think I have tried to give some input about this earlier in the thread but gave up because it did not lead anywhere. However I am still trying.....and glad for every input on it I get.
