I'm not sure the lines are right. I am in the UK and using Alpari UK. I used the default setting (offset is 2) but the blue line for the London open is sitting on 10:00 broker time which is 9:00 UK time. I believe London market opens at 8 UK time which is now GMT+1 hence the line should appear at 9:00 on the chart.

Or have I got this completely wrong?
The lines are supposed to reflect the market OPEN... not one hour into the open...

BTW Geoff, I've added your system as a secondary confirmation to my angry hedgehog method to squeeze a few more pips.

OK..double checked everything... FXDD is DEFINITELY +3 GMT for the offset. So I have that setting correct... the EA is showing Japan start time at 8pm EST..

Should be 7pm EST... or am I confused???

volatility in equities is outrageous again.

I have 2 accounts one is set for v4 using the 16sma
and the other is set for v9 using the 10sma.
demos set for camv5..

Can you run a short back-test on the EA to see if it starts the trade 1 hour before Tokyo open?

it's best to trade manual first then run the ea and fully understand a system before going live. That how I do it ... money is money

Hi Geoff

I ran a few back tests with Alpari UK. The log shows trades starting between 1 and 2 AM. These times are GMT+2 which means they are between 2300 and 0000. So I guess this the correct time?

If so then the lines are perhaps cosmetic and not taking summer time into consideration?

I've put the new version on Demo and still using V5 on live.

197 kinda iffy. went up 1pip on 2300 candle.flat at 0000 and down 1 pip now on 0100 candle.

Hi everyone,
I copied the preset files to the /experts/preset folder and the EA to the experts folder.

when i attach to the GU 1H chart,I didn't get any option to select the preset as outlined by Geoff.
Can you please help me?

Double click on Face (EA) on chart. There is 2 bottoms LOAD and SAVE..

Click LOAD and select appropriate preset file.

have put live accounts and demos all on v4 since it looks like a trade is possible there. 16sma and 197 sma are both down.
