Attached is a VB6 GMT clock. The .exe is included with the source code in the zip file. (Just re-compiled). I always have it running in a corner of the screen. R/H mouse on the clock to set properties. I prefer 24hr display.

Are any of these brokers 4 digit?
No, all 5 digit. I have seen the same differences in other EA's. I have used a hybrid martingale on all accounts, it's amazing the difference a couple of pips can make in between brokers. At the end of the day, I have not seen alot of difference over the longer term. But I do think it is advisable to tune for each broker.
I got caught with the martingale on the wrong side of EurAud 2 weeks ago....meltdown! (I don't like to think about it cos It may do more psychological harm!).
Looking at your code, it is easy...
On the subject of backtesting and optimization, be careful what time of day, or day of week, you run your tests. When I first started running tests I could not understand why with the exact same settings I got different results. In particular at weekends. It turns out the reason for this is that the stored price data contains no spread information. During testing the tester uses the current spread even though you may be running your test on say data from January. This can be a real problem if you run your tests over the weekend where the markets are closed and the spread is much higher than it would be during normal market hours. Ultimately it will depnd on how sensitive the EA under test is to spread variations.

wow! this table is great and maybe the reason why my results look abit skewed!
as a sanity check if anyone out there knows how to calculate this easily:
- my current time: 10:30pm (timezone +10)
- metatrader marketwatch time: 1:30pm
- greenwich mean time: 12:30pm (as per http://wwp.greenwichmeantime.com )
i think my offset should be +1, right?

Here is the latest version of the EA completely re-writtin by piptician with
many new features, please see post #1 on the other thread:

From now on only one version of the EA is supported and all information
can be found on the other thread.
To run the EA, download the .ex4 file, place it in the Experts folder and re-start MT4.

Download the presets.zip file and unzip it on your desktop then move all the .set files to:
Crogram Files/MetaTrader/experts/presets
Attach the EA to the chart and press the Load button on the settings
dialog that pops up and select the appropriate .set file for 1, 2 or 3 orders.
The only setting you need to change is the GMT offset for your broker.
