100% agree can't take all the pips and as we say in my country "5 in hand is better than waiting for 10 to come."

moreover TA - analysis and strategy is one thing - trading and realizing profits is another thing - therefore it is really well done. I saw your post this morning - and it was fully in line with my thoughts !

hey guys

I'm joining the forum and the EUR/USD crowd this morning as I made about €10K in a couple of days with the U.S. 30 and lost €7k yesterday with that sudden rise and my inexperience, holding down to losing positions for too long.


the EUR/USD looks great for scalping atm though, just made about 3k in a couple of mins:

short @ 1.2290, closed @ 1.2260

afterwards bought @ 1.2248, closed @ 1.2256


the waves look good for surfing

if anyone has more tips, please share

Timing must be the difficult aspect to perfect, if indeed it can be perfected. I'm getting much better at it, but it's still tricky sometimes. I think there's a cartoon chart around somewhere where it shows the perfect trade only the trader is too scared to pull the trigger until he sees concrete evidence that it really is a good trade......by now though, the trade has passed him by and he misses it. I'm sure everyone has been there at some stage of their trading life, and it's a difficult cycle to break.....but once broken it's the best thing since sliced bread!

Exactly - we may have a need or phantasie / idea of 100 pips - just to realise a third of it mostly - I suppose somehow...

I realise that, I'm just saying traders will vary in what they need to enter. Having a number of indicators offering confluence obviously works for you. Me, I just trust my subconscious analysis .

Few thoughts.

Consolidating at supporting trendline of ascending channel, 30min. Waiting for US news.

Other upper trendline of separate lower channel goes time being at 1.2210.

We might get spike down there before or when news come out, that happens once in a while. Supporting trendline of that channel goes at 1.2120.

Otherwise just might grind slowly down there.
They think they are smarter than I am.

This is in the middle of nowhere zone here - it could flip back to the upside once more - but must not come so - if it may fly again - I will look for a short trade again. But not here...

I want to see it flying much higher. Otherwise the train has been gone - I don't care then...

And risk to time used for it is an important issue as well in these choppy days...

only 75 - 90 minutes left until next important data - ADP and Unemployment - then this roller coaster or ghost train will go into another gear of speed again...

I must not have such surprising things like error positioning before that...
