Geoff! Thanks! That was way too easy, never seen it go that fast. Had my lotsize on the live screwed up so I had to trade it manually, but the IBFX demo worked great. How does the bot use fractals in its decision-making? And does it use 3 bars, 5 bars, what sort of fractal indicator?

my fxdd demo nothing on v8 but triggered and profited in v4!!

Been out all afternoon, came in checked my virtual desktop server and found two perfectly executed trades @ 19:50 EST at 1.46656 & 1.46654 with TP @ 1.46878 at 20:50 and 1.47163 at 20:58

on MBT demo.. only my second trade with this EA ... not ready for live time yet...

Two of my terminals traded, but the ones that had errant data for the MA's didn't trade (as is to be expected.)

I deleted all of the .hst files in the C:-Program Files-FXDD - MetaTrader 4 - MT4 - 03-history-FXDD-MT4 DEMO Server and everything in the C:-Program Files-FXDD - MetaTrader 4 - MT4 - 03-historydownloads-GBPUSD folder and now I'm seeing consistent plots again.

The lesson here is, downloading data for backtesting can throw off your current indicators, which could take you out of a trade, which, when you're trading Geoff's EA, would be criminal!!

Prolly best to delete these files on any active terminal that will be trading live & keep a seperate terminal installation for backtesting.

Would you tell us your broker, and a breakdown on which trades got you the 122 pips? And since I didn't get ANY don't you think it would be nice to share???

Mary...What version are you running on IBFX? I am running 4 versions on IBFX demo and they all came home.

I think all of the indicators were very strong tonight, so you should have triggered a trade.

Check your EA settings in Both places...

1. - right-click on the chart with the EA active, then go to Expert Advisors (at the top) -> Properties - Common tab.

AND...

2. Tools Menu -> Options -> Expert Advisors Tab, and compare yours to mine.

Then, purge your data as described here: http://www.forexfactory.com/showpost...postcount=3831

Also, are you getting anything on the Experts Tab in the Terminal Window (View Menu -> Terminal or CTRL+T).

You should see something like:

2010.06.01 18:55:55 '7202875': instant order buy 10.00 GBPUSD at 1.4676 sl: 1.4536 tp: 1.4700

Followed by:

2010.06.01 19:58:26 '7202875': wiring all funds to Geoff's account as planned.

(just checking to make sure you're paying attention


I still have my training wheels on, so it took me a few minutes to determine that my terminals had indeed traded.
