I"m pretty new (like a month to forex) and I'm starting to think that today was not a good day to be trading for me...not much movement but more losses today than in the last month..hmmm a sideways trend is not my friend apparently. Maybe it's a good idea to wait and get in during a move rather than trying to predict a move???

That's a good reason enough. Most of us pay huge "tuition fees" to get that knocked into our head

Euro in a catch 22 right now, everything aims down (no matter what anyone do), just do medium/long term trades with small lot sizes (if you are really unsure, just do lot sizes that your account can't margin call even if EUR/USD is at 2.0000, almost guaranteed to make profits. All we need to do is figure out when to exit.

It is not a good practice to catch a falling kife. You will get burned. an easy thing to do is add pivit points to your chards they are helpful. fibs are good for looking for points of reversal. It has been a slow day because of bank holidays yesterday and we are in the asia session their is not a lot of overall volume in this session and to top it off their is an RBA rate Statement in about 10 min. markets seem to slow down just before big news. If you want to watch some vid's on pivit pionts look up thefxpivotpoint on youtube mike is a great guy and you will learn a thing or two. another one is VOICEOFFOREX he really healped me get a basic understanding if the markets, his vid's are not as consistant as they used to be but he normally puts out a radio broadcast everyday and gives a recap. and their is also babypips.com a good place to educate yourself.

Morning to all . Just open & looking for my trades , shorts kept overnight from 1.2309 & above with tp 1.2249, they all cosed in green though afraid what happened ? Asia did the same as doing some days . tank over 100 pip before I woke up & start the day.

Anyway the selling perhaps not over 1.2224, 00 , 1.2186 still hand , utl coming down also at the same time & market going to a decision next .Bais still remain long side for me but started fluctuating seeing strongest currency Aud under extreme pressure down side , expected au bounce at 0.8355 but weekly 200ma again broken now only hope H1 200ma bounce & so now doubtfull .

Thanks a bunch..today told me I need more education to be confident in my choices/trades..a little direction is very much appreciated and i'm headed off to learn a bit more...i'm new to the site also but am learning from everyone here.. Happy trading!

good morning,
will trade the break out of this (see chart below) preference short . Upside is capped at max 2314 and 2302 plus pivot at 2297, once those are gone R1 2341 and R2 2377 could be aimed at.
Downside S1 at 2260 which is not giving good support but 2242 and 2229 should provide better support and S2 2217 once all those are gone 2152 and below can be aimed at .

Thanks for the information , morning to you .yesterday I did close the long in au & shorted for 0.8366 . closed also & now waiting .

A lean & thin camel in the formation in m1 chart in eu now expected some up .
