right. So i believe we had trend short, so in this , it was the fractal portion that did not fire.. Which was good!

Same broker Alpari UK for Malta and the UK VPS. The UK server time is different though. UK time obviously. But the broker time is still the same.

That's right, it's only the broker GMT offset that matters!

Which version of the EA are you using?

Version not sure. It has a 18128 magic if that helps. Memory isn't what it was, I am getting on, you know.

I've just put v5 on a MBT demo account.

I've some questions about the right GMT offset.

Does the Tokyo session start at 0.00 GMT, so the EA should start at 23.00?

If so, that would be at my 19.00 broker time. So I think GMT offset should be -4 for MB Trading. However, the MB Trader helpdesk told me GMT offset is -5 during DST. Does anyone the right GMT Offset for MB Trading?

EDIT: i think I now know the right answer by myself: Tokyo starts at 23.00 GMT: http://forex.timezoneconverter.com/i...=GMT&refresh=5 so the EA should start at 22.00 GMT. The default start time of the EA is 23.00. At that time it's 18.00 my broker time, so the right GMT offset should be -5 during DST, like the MBT people said.

1)Put this indicator in meta trader experts/indicators directory,
2)Then load this indicator to your chart(you need to enable external dll calls).
3)Set myGMT value to your GMT offset( For example i am in Tokyo, so my GMT for me is 9)

If you enter that right, after indicator is loaded you should see

"Broker Name " : (+/-)xx GMT [ if it minus add 24 and enter in ea as GMT, other wise just enter the value for ea]
Broker : xx.xx
Spread : x.x
Local : xx.xx [ this should be same as your computer local time, see the bottom of screen right hand side]
New York : xx.xx
London : xx.xx
Tokyo : xx.xx [ I see this also same as my local time ,because i am live here]

I do believe MTB would be -4..

my live mtb chart shows current time of 20:05 .
current gmt is 00:05 I believe....

I believe it is -4 due to current time adjustment For gmt time zone....

my ea made the 23:16 gmt trade like many others did... it is set -4..

Thank you. I see my local time right at 07.49 1/6, which is OK, but GMT is at 07.49 27/5. MB Trading offset is 8 in this indicator. I'm affraid this won't help me, but thanks for your support.

However, the default setting start time of the EA is 23.00. If not changing that, should I not set GMT offset to -5 in this case?

Another possibility is to set start time to 22.00 and GMT offset to -4. But in that case, you and others are taking wrong trades...

Crucial question is: which time GMT should the EA start.

Good morning all.

Three long trades triggered with V5 at 01:15 broker time (00:15 UK time) and still going on Alpari UK Demo. Currently -30pips each .

Buy price 1.45304. SL is 1.43905 on all three.

Tokyo opens at 0:00 GMT all year round, it is one of the very few constants that can be relied on!

My Alpari demo accounts did not trade but my live accounts did!

For once, I would have prefered them the other way round!
