No, that is right, it was her start time that was wrong, that is why it
traded last night and made a loss!

You should set your GMT offset to 3 and leave the start time as 23, this
is why it traded and made a loss, it should not have traded yesterday!

Hi Geoff, forgot to tell you. I am testing on FXDD Demo account.

Thanks Ertorque for your comment. That's what I thought. My broker's time is GMT+3, so I can set GMToffset=0 with starttime = 3, or GMToffset =3 and starttime=0.

All other setting I left as default.

That is most impressive. Can you post your revised EA so the rest of us can forward test on a demo? I don't put a great deal of faith in testing simulations and I'm in no particular hurry to get rich so I prefer to test new ideas "under fire" so to speak.

Sorry didn't see your post just now.

I thought we are waiting for Tokyo open, which is 00:00 GMT, at which time the broker's clock should be 3:00am?

Why set the starttime at 23? Anyway, I will follow your advise and set starttime=23 and see what happen.

No, if you set GMT offset to 3 you must set start time to 23!

The start time is 1 hour before Tokyo open ie 23:00 GMT.

I think the v8 EA needs to have the money management portion of the algo looked at again, as what I am seeing makes no sense. With a $20000 account balance, risking 1% per trade, I am getting a lot size of 0.02 lots when using MM. Since 1% of $20000 is $200 and the SL is 140, the calc according to Excel should be 0.14. IMHO, I would stick with manual lotsizing until this is sorted out.

I had a trade initialize last night that gave me

-142.60 - 142.60

The sell was triggered at 23.35pm and was filled at 1.43849

can any one confirm thay had the same please or if the EA traded

hello, i m new to this thread but i like this type of set and forget trading. i am currently backtesting the original ea and its showing me really good results. what im looking for is streaks. can anyone confirm their longest winning streaks and their most losing streak.

i am looking to incorporating doubling up lot size on winning trades up to an x level and going back to original lot size after every losing trade or when level x has been reached.

anyone think of this. im seeing nice little streaks of 4 and 5 wins in a row.

just a question of morphing this to something more risky or more profitable.
